.....debt total is?
Hopefully it is under $10 Million. I am worried because now that interest rates are rising this will add further pressure to our repayments.
I know nobody likes playing in Cairns but if we stop playing there that means we lose at least $500k.
Would we look at playing a game in Tassie instead, to make up the shortfall?
Note, that was me at the AGM in the early to mid 2000's who said to Rod Butters "abandoning Tassie is a very short sighted move that will come back and bite us one day". He just said that was the decision made and went to the next person's question. I think that meeting was at the Moorabbin Town Hall but I can't quite remember. One of those years it was held somewhere else in a lot smaller room and it might have been then. Does anyone remember?
Does anyone know what our latest.....

Even though I live in Tassie, I think abandoning Tassie was a good move when we made it. The crowds are small and the weather's frequently poor, so there's a negative impact on team performance relative to playing in Melbourne.SunnyErnie wrote: ↑Sat 11 Jun 2022 1:59pm Note, that was me at the AGM in the early to mid 2000's who said to Rod Butters "abandoning Tassie is a very short sighted move that will come back and bite us one day". I think a case could have been made when we were at our lowest ebb for the club to relocate permanently to Tasmania. But I believe those days are gone and I can't see the value of playing a few games here each year, apart from the financial benefit. At their best, Hawthorn did it and won some premierships, but who's to say that they mightn't have done even better if they hadn't played games here.
Having said that, Tasmania makes more sense than playing in NZ or China.
