Saints out of contract end of the year

Post: # 1958656Post skeptic »

For those not wanting to peruse through the big thread… got this off FB

Long, Paton, Hannebery, Joyce, Kent, Butler, Highmore, Bytel, Higgins, Heath, Highmore, Battle, Ryder, Marshall, Campbell and Jones

Highmore and Bytel are the obvious interesting ones… many of the others seem clear one way or the other

My order of priority:
Marshall
Battle
Ryder (Cant see him going anywhere else except retire)
Jones
Higgins
Paton
Butler
Highmore
Bytel
Long

Low cost
Heath (keep)
Joyce (keep - depth)
Campbell ( if needed)

Kent (gone unless something changes between now and years end)
Hannebery (retire)

Jones is a really interesting one to think about.

We all know that he can play but between fitness and form there’s a question there as to whether or not we’re really getting bang for our bucks so to speak.

Will be really interesting to see how he finishes out the year. Top form Jones inserted into the team playing more or less to their basic standard elevates us to a serious premiership threat.

I'd be happy to re-contract the lot of them.
Can't remember the last time I thought that about a list

Ok, just saw Kent's name at the end, happy to let him go

That’s about right :D

15 games in his first 3 seasons.
Including tonight it’s what 15 out of 75 matches?

All jokes aside, sure if he gets any type of extension someone would have to be accountable.

Really hoping he is gone (sooner rather than later) and we can recruit Amon as a FA at season end.

Surely the club is now beyond the bulls*** of even pretending he will play again and that he would even be in the best 22 should he become available.
