Yeah it's a good thing when you have to fight to keep your spot. Owens was good hard to see him being left out . Long IMO offers more than Butler but 5 goals at Sandy on the weekend he's given himself a decent chance , Higgins before his concussion was arguably our best forward, & FFS Firey it's Clark not Clarke but he missed last week as well after long lay off so I doubt he will be considered & so did Bytel . Hard gig being a selector ATM but IMO Higgins in Windy to have a spell even though he has been good & a rest won't do him any harm. Wood has been handy without starring & Sharman gives Max a bit of a chop out but needs to do a bit more to keep his spot going forward . Jimmy & Paton under a bit of pressure from Highmore & Lienert but probably hold their spot for now IMO anywayThe Fireman wrote: ↑Mon 30 May 2022 10:07pmYes it gets very hard. depth and horses for courses
One thing for Butler to displace Long he has to score ….Longs tackles hurt but he’s not a huge goal scorer
Whoever from those 2 brings the pressure AND hits scoreboard stays for mine
Thing is….in a tough finals contest….I think Long just has that mongrel edge (Max Rooke type from Cats) you need that won’t go missing
Long stays in Higgins and Clarke are auto inclusions . Windy Sharman out
I reckon we’ll beat them
Billings, Campbell and Butler..
