Re: Dare sainter of the round
Good on him. I hope he plays again next year and at 5pm on the last Saturday in September he is holding up a big cup!!!
St Kilda should never trade with Essendon and Sydney ever again!!!

Re: Dare sainter of the round
A caller to SEN radio today claimed we have won 70% of our games when Paddy and RoMa have played together. How lucky are we to have front row seats.
Anyone know a mad scientist capable of giving Paddy eternal youth then please contact the club.

Re: Dare sainter of the round
Some people understand that ‘moments’ in a game matter.
Some people believe that the Best On Ground should be the player who has the greatest impact on the day
These same people understand the award of ‘Best On Ground’ to mean the ‘most influential player’ to end result…In this case, both coaches saw that guy to be Paddy.
Saintsational had a mix of Sincs, Crouch, Paddy and Gresh getting BOG and I wouldn’t have been surprised if someone had given Seb top votes for his game either.
On the other hand…there are people who believe that the decision should be based on the most possessions on the day or in many cases the player who dominated his position. That’s fair enough too.
You’ll get the rare occasion where Everyone is in agreement that there is a clear Best On Ground.
Coaches and ex players with a feel for the game and even the umpires and general public have given Cripps top votes AND his team has gone down. I've seen Patrick Cripps dominate games where Carlton ended up losing so BOG is not always going to go to the team that wins.

Re: Dare sainter of the round
Crouch had 10 score involvements
36 touches to f the footy
That’s hard to beat imo

Re: Dare sainter of the round
Ryder was the match winner
With his ruck work and with his possessions
He makes our midfielders walk taller
Both coaches awarded him the maximum 5 Votes
Plus he is regarded at the Club as he is for a reason
It was a proud day for him with his family members present for the Award he received
What an inspired pick up by St Kilda

Re: Dare sainter of the round
That’s the difference between what a supporter sees and what the two coaches and those who understand the game. saw.
Both coaches obviously believe Ryder was the biggest influence on the match.
Meanwhile us mugs see who got it the most and the stats sheet.

Re: Dare sainter of the round
That’s the measure now is it? Last week against Melbourne you gave Crouch best on ground and he only had 2 score involvements. Mason Wood had 4 against Melbourne.
Our most consistent midfielder for score involvements (SI) this year is Jade Gresham followed by Seb Ross. By the way…Highest SI tally this year is Max King who leads that category for the Saints.

Re: Dare sainter of the round
Last week Dougal Howard was the Dare Sainter of the Round
It really doesn’t matter who gets the accolades each week as long as the team keeps winning.
If Crouch keeps up this sort of form and consistency there is no reason why he can’t win the Trevor Barker Medal
