Jack Mc Higgins?
To early to be concerned about concussion with Jack?
Very serious brain surgery now two concussions in 5 weeks.
An emerging pattern (god forbid) or situational?
Is any one aware of his concussion history?
One thing is certain, he has put everything into his AFL career to date and he will continue to work tirelessly.

Re: Jack Mc Higgins?
I think it would be a bit of a concern, mainly because both incidents looked minimal / nothing there.
Has a real McCartin vibe about it.

Re: Jack Mc Higgins?
Need to be mindful of not adding 1+1 and getting 3.
Could also be the docs are over cautious with players like Jack and Paddy and take them off with even the smallest of head knocks and symptoms.
Speaking of Paddy, how fantastic is it to see him playing and playing well. Just an inspiration these types of people.

Re: Jack Mc Higgins?
We have an opportunity to give him more than a week off. Possibly increase his training loads and bring him back after our bye.

Re: Jack Mc Higgins?
You either play through head knocks or you don't. You don't have to wobble on your feet for ahead knock to be serious.
He told the Docs he wasn't 100%. They take him off, simple as that. Any head knock is serious, playing through them is stupid. End of story really.

Re: Jack Mc Higgins?
They’re clarifying now that is was from the big marking contest in the 1st quarter which makes sense.
He played another quarter after that yet only got 2 touches, so clearly wasn’t at 100%

Re: Jack Mc Higgins?
It was a nothing contact, so I fear Jack might be looking at an extended period on the side lines. It was very McCartin, hopefully Jack has no long terms affects.

Re: Jack Mc Higgins?
Why do people think concussion has to be from a huge knock. Getting a knock in the wrong spot is just as bad.

Re: Jack Mc Higgins?
It was a first quarter contact (12.58 on the countdown clock), not the later one. His head is bounced onto the ground.Impatient Sainter wrote: ↑Sun 15 May 2022 11:57am It was a nothing contact, so I fear Jack might be looking at an extended period on the side lines.
