Re: MRP closest to the pin 📌
I agree will be assessed as contact you would expect in that situation & you are a St.Kilda player so no case to answer. You might think I'm taking the pi-s but look at the MRP findings on Monday

Re: MRP closest to the pin 📌
Of course if it was Paddy 2 weeks, but I'll bet nothing happens to the Geelong player, they might even charge Higgins for head butting his arm.
Think of me long enough to make a memory.

Re: MRP closest to the pin 📌
Ratts said at his press conference that the concussion came from a different Incident. I suspect he said this to get the player off. Kolodjashnij took out both Higgins and Steele

Looking at the incident I don't think he has anything to answer for anyhow.
The contact was shoulder to shoulder, he did not get the head or neck.

Re: MRP closest to the pin 📌
Early in the game someone landed on Greshams back and then he hit his head on the ground. It happened just before Isaac Smith's goal.
Wonder if that contributed to the concussion

Our coach has already said publicly the incident with Kolodjashnij (sp?) did not cause the concussion.

From AFL.com:
"Ratten clarified small forward Jack Higgins' concussion – his second for the season –occurred in the first term, but that he didn’t feel symptoms until the second.
"He asked the doc, and the docs did the scan, and he failed that, so we took him out. He'll miss another game, and we'll look after him," he said.
"We didn't know, he got up, and then didn't feel right until the second. Maybe [the incident] was the (Tom) Stewart spoil, the big spoil, I think (Ben) Long might have kicked it in."

Re: MRP closest to the pin 📌
It happened in the first quarter when Tom Stewart spoiled from behind. Higgins falls on the ground and then Stewart basically (and as I saw at the time, deliberately) drops his hip onto Higgins' head while he was face down in the turf. Full body weight of Stewart onto his head.

It happens at exactly 11.53 into the first quarter. Check the match replay on the AFL website.

Be sure to thank Ben Long for the hospital pass. But Saints coach Brett Ratten confirmed post-match that it was a Tom Stewart spoil that caused Higgins’ issue and ultimately saw him subbed from the game for first-year player Marcus Windhager.

Stewart jumps on Higgins back to spoil, and lands one bent leg falling straight onto Higgins.
He would have to be Nadia Comăneci to have deliberately concocted that move FFS
