Outraged or don't give a rats.
Powers that be at port are outraged that they are being accused of rorting the medical sub, which of course they did against us in Cairns last week.
However they went on to say that they don't give a stuff if other clubs are complaining...which they rightfully are.
IMHFO, if you are prepared to gain an advantage by rorting the medical sub, chances are you would be suss in other areas.
I hope the doggies thrash their f****** arses tonight.

Re: Outraged or don't give a rats.
I think we are the idiots for not just matching them and doing the same thing. They have been doing it for ages, there is no clear rule about it and they obviously won't get penalised.
Basically we were fools not to sub in Lienert last week and I hope we stop playing the nice guys about this and start using the sub just as they are.

Good to see Georgiades has recovered so quickly from that horrible, near career ending calf injury.

If the rules allow you to wrought the system & you get an advantage & that advantage wins you the game well IMO that's very smart . When we look back at the score card in 2 weeks or 100 years time it won't say Port cheated it will say they won by a point . We need to be aware that you can bend the rules if it's to your benefit legitimate or not IMO .

Re: Outraged or don't give a rats.
Very sage but these rorts were exposed and apparent well before our game. Perhaps our custodians can give up on the smoke & mirrors and manage our game for its betterment, not its ridicule.

Port don't appear to be affected from playing in Cairns last weekend.
The Saints are under review, will it make any difference to the underachievers ?

If the rules can be bent then expect the clubs to bend them.

Reckon we missed a trick their with Leinert having fresh legs.
Easy enough to fake a corkie to our back up ruckman.
Cost us a game (along with dodgy kicking)
You watch us do what Port have done and somehow create a precedent for the AFL to sanction us.

If Cameron Ling and Luke Darcy are commentating it's a given. They'll make outrageous accusations without any substance...Banger9798 wrote: ↑Sat 07 May 2022 4:24am Reckon we missed a trick their with Leinert having fresh legs.

They'll whinge and whine and get the cameras to probe and then they'll convict us and hang us all conveniently under the guise of 'special comments'

Re: Outraged or don't give a rats.
Two very simple changes need to be made to the sub rule.
1 - A player subbed out due to injury cannot play the following game
2 - When one team activates the sub the other team should have the option to do the same
Bam, all issues solved.

Re: Outraged or don't give a rats.
There is no doubt they bused the rule - but so should of we. It was just another fraught decision in a bad night for the club.

The obvious for the AFL is to make the subbed player sit out the next 12 days eg concussion. Clubs will change overnight.
Ports win last night gives me renewed hope that our blokes will be fine for Sundays game. So much so I grabbed the healthy odds and put a pineapple on us.

We "played" them into form. A 5 goal to nil first quarter and their season was over.

SUBSTITUTES
Port Adelaide: Lachie Jones (replaced Bonner at three-quarter time)
Western Bulldogs: Hayden Crozier (replaced O'Brien in the third quarter)
I wait with interest to see if Bonner has a miraculous recovery during the week.

Re: Outraged or don't give a rats.
We should have put PA away in the first half, and any fudging of medical substitutions etc wouldn't have mattered. If there's loopholes then the AFL should sort it out pronto.
