West Coast are clever though. This "catastrophe" has come at the perfect time for them. They snagged one premiership so they are happy. No use hanging around mid table for a few years, May as well go straight to the bottom 4 and stay there for 4 years and load up through the draft. They will be back in the top 8 again before you know it.

Lucky us - we only play North and the Eagles once each this season.
Meanwhile, we still have to play both Grand Finalists yet, Brisbane twice, Sydney twice and Geelong twice. We also have to face Port Adelaide in Adelaide to come.
Still think we're a good side and will only get stronger, but imagine playing the Eagles in Melbourne this year, or North a second time, or both of those, rather than Port in Adelaide or Geelong at Geelong ...
Considering we finished tenth last season it is a really tough fixture.
