I am still cut about leaving 4 points in Cairns, but, if on the train home from the Round 1 performance, someone had guaranteed we would be 5 and 2 at round 7 I would have taken that in a heartbeat.

Don't think we will get the Chockies on Mother's Day - but I think [hope] there would have been some lessons and take-aways from last nights game.

Bring on the rest of the season!!!!

Knowing the Saints, we will beat the Dees at the G and then lose to the Cats at the Dome the following week!!!

St Kilda should never trade with Essendon and Sydney ever again!!!

I’d take that, but I think it’ll be the other way around. Welcome back Ern

The Port loss had a noxious whiff of the Richo years about it (remembering Richo never beat Hinkley).

Unaceptable inaccuracy, weird selection choices (Leinert out, Campbell in), no adaptability in the game plan, dumb decision making.

Just hope the season doesn't fall apart now as it would have in the Richo years.

Our next 3 games will tell us the full extent of the Cairns debacle. If we beat Adelaide and one of Melbourne or Geelong we will be fine and probably finish top 4. The worry is the Port loss shatters our confidence and we lose the next 3. If that happens we will not play finals and Ratts will end up getting the sack at the end of the season!!!

We'll beat Adelaide.
The coaches will watch videos till their eyes go square, they'll get the team on track.
Dees will win by 6-8 goals but by geezus we better beat the Cats.
Someone, I think Finnis, said recently that he could see Ratts being head coach for the next few years

I would feel just a tad agitated if we came out and beat Melbourne, yet missed out by one game on reaching finals thanks to handing PA the game on a platter the other night.

I think the worst / most annoying part is that it was all just so predictable.

On perspective, perspective is always about the future

So, to place in context

A side consisting of our 26 year old and younger players:-

Wilkie Howard Paton
Coffield Battle Clark
Byrnes Steele Wanganeen-Milera
Billings Marshall Higgins
Sharman King Gresham
Heath Owen Windhager
Long Highmore Bytel Connolly

All of these players have shown a capability (at least) at the top level

And keeping an eye on Adams and Allison along with Peris and Kyle

Plus who we recruit and Draft

This is a far improved situation from what we were in a couple of years back

Sitting 4th and inside the 8 by 2 games not bad considering how much improvement is in the squad

Ratts needs to give himself a swift upper cut after that game. But we move on hopefully he will have a plan to lesson the Lever/May affect, rather than what he did with Allir.
