Never really thought it would get close to getting through but mostly normal things that happen in a game.

I agree that Clayton is a better player than Luke Dunstan…. but I’d like to see Clayton and Max and Christian (and throw in 6 or 7 of Melbourne’s high profile players) play a mock game of footy ….say about 10 of Melbourne’s best players against 18 honest good ordinary players…who do you reckon would win?

Yes!! Obviously Oliver is a better player!! Dunstan doesn’t come close…. but you need 18 blokes on the field and Dunny played his role

Not if Viney is good to come back. Can't see Dunstan retaining his spot.

Thought he was serviceable. Pretty savvy pick up by the Dees. They are a bit thin for inside mids.

Speaking of which, I reckon that's where we could possibly take it up to them in two weeks time. Crouch, Steele and Seb playing some great footy. Throw Zac in the middle and we're gonna have a few contested possessions go our way.

But let's take care of Port first. They're suddenly up and about.

I agree, his game against Carlton was an A grade wingman's game. Continuous two way running, presenting, drawing tackles before dishing off, very strong. I think Ratten would be able to find a spot for him in our current 22.

I agree re: Acres - he’s starting to play some good footy.

However, I also agree with Meher. With Crouch, Steele and Ross in their current form, would we have a role for Dunstan also? I would say no.

Dunstan based on this year's form of Dees and Saints would be only a depth player at either club.


Yes Dunstan can play at AFL level.

But in our midfield he would need to displace one of Steele, Crouch and Ross. Crouch and Ross have both improved the quality of their play and offensive side this year and so remain even better options than Dunstan for us than they were last season.

For attacking mids who rotate through Gresham, Sincs and Jones when he returns also are much better options for us.

And then we have the injured Clark on the horizon, and the mids in waiting of Bytel, Owens and Windhager.

We have Steele, Crouch, Ross and Jones backed by Windhager and Bytel. Melbourne is a far better fit for Dunstan than we are and because of that he has a better chance of playing there than he did here.

Yep, over a series of matches last year his average was BOG.

Good pickup by Melb, who need some depth in the inside mid area more than Saints.

Still, if we get to finals he may well have been very handy. Not to be.
