It's interesting to see how the teams that suffered heavy losses in their 2021 finals campaign are struggling this season.
Essendon was badly beaten up by Sydney in their one and only final, Western Bulldogs were humiliated by Melbourne in the GF, the Power were smashed by the Doggies in a home prelim & GWS were comfortably beaten also.
Geelong is the only team that hasn't been scarred by their big loss in their prelim, however, they were significantly hit by illness.
Just goes to prove how crystal balling by the media for finals spots in the coming season is a lottery!!

I wish Geelong would go over that cliff and die!!!
St Kilda should never trade with Essendon and Sydney ever again!!!

Not sure about the 2021 finals but I think I am still scarred from that Good Friday debacle, Essendon last year, the great Cairns collapse, Clark's last two injuries and Roger Fox stopping his reports.

Interesting concept!
What on earth has happened to Port.
Premiership favourites in some corners… currently on track for the wooden spoon.
A shocking fall from grace indeed.
Maybe Connor Rozee is worth another phone call

Re: Mental scars from 2021 finals
I don't know what to make of Port's game yesterday or Carlton's for that matter. Port are a better side than zip 5 & 50 points down to Carlton in a half of football.
They began the match a team devoid of confidence, Carlton were good enough to take advantage, then poor enough to give them a sniff and cough up that advantage.
I think that will turn Port's season around, to a degree, but may find themselves too far back now. I hope we can end their season in two weeks, no greater pleasure.
