I’m sorry- I will admit that I’ve had 1-2 drinks with a couple of friends but that article is a nightmare to read

Good luck to the young fella on his debut.
Personally would have preferred him to do another week or 2 at Sandy.
Hope he has a blinder and makes me look like a fool.

Hayes very stiff, but will be back soon I predict.
Windbanger looks quite a prospect. Hope he tears it up on debut. We haven’t had someone do that since … Hayes.

A long, long time since we have had 3 teenage debutants in a small block of time or a season (at a guess) for that matter.
Very exciting with Owens, Windhager & NWM all likely to feature in matches together this season.

It's an exciting next 5 years with those 3 plus King, Heath, Peris, Kyle and future draft picks along with some possible father/sons.D.B.Cooper wrote: ↑Sat 09 Apr 2022 10:57am A long, long time since we have had 3 teenage debutants in a small block of time or a season (at a guess) for that matter.

A long way from the doom of the Richo era. Gallagher & his recruiting staff should be applauded.

Just think what we could have added from the draft if we weren't concentrating on spuds, lemons and pensioners.Ghost Like wrote: ↑Sat 09 Apr 2022 11:57amIt's an exciting next 5 years with those 3 plus King, Heath, Peris, Kyle and future draft picks along with some possible father/sons.D.B.Cooper wrote: ↑Sat 09 Apr 2022 10:57am A long, long time since we have had 3 teenage debutants in a small block of time or a season (at a guess) for that matter.

Out of interest who are the others in addition to Boston Everitt (Spider's son)?
We had several possibilities that were eligible recently, but none were deemed good enough to draft/rookie.

Personally I don’t think Boston will be an AFL player having seen plenty of him at Southport Sharks but hope I’m wrong.Ghost Like wrote: ↑Sat 09 Apr 2022 1:42pmB.M. was talking about one of Peckett's sons.saintsRrising wrote: ↑Sat 09 Apr 2022 1:12pmOut of interest who are the others in addition to Boston Everitt (Spider's son)?

A lot more of a Andreas Everett than Peter size and style player.
I believe Pecketts young daughter Frankie shows a bit for AFLW but not sure any of his boys look the goods at this point in time.

Re: Final team. Windhager in Hayes out
Could not agree more, was very disappointed we took Frawley, McKernan etc instead of giving kids or early 20’s state league players an opportunity as rookies.saynta wrote: ↑Sat 09 Apr 2022 12:25pmJust think what we could have added from the draft if we weren't concentrating on spuds, lemons and pensioners.Ghost Like wrote: ↑Sat 09 Apr 2022 11:57amIt's an exciting next 5 years with those 3 plus King, Heath, Peris, Kyle and future draft picks along with some possible father/sons.D.B.Cooper wrote: ↑Sat 09 Apr 2022 10:57am A long, long time since we have had 3 teenage debutants in a small block of time or a season (at a guess) for that matter.

Whereabouts is his daughter playing? Any good and how far away from being drafted?D.B.Cooper wrote: ↑Sat 09 Apr 2022 5:55pm

Just curious but how do you get to watch young Everitt in sunny south Q'ld and a very young female Peckett in Victoria?

Re: Final team. Windhager in Hayes out
Thinking about Hayes being dropped, will we find out our set-up between the midfield and the forward line was the right set-up as demonstrated in our last 1.5 quarters.
I thought our mechanism into the forward line worked well in that last 1.5 quarters BECAUSE of the tall shape and that's maybe why Max had space to play. And although Hayes stats weren't high, to a lesser extent the impact he did have was in that last 1.5 by clunking a couple of marks that resulted in set shots.
I dunno, we will see today but I just think if it ain't broke.
I'm concerned the balance now includes too many inexperienced skinny guys.

Re: Final team. Windhager in Hayes out
It’s their home ground…
This is outdoors.
We play indoors where the footy doesn’t sway and float around.
But the punters may not be aware that we don’t mind a bit of wind….Go get em Windy!!
edit…Speaking of wind…Let’s not forget our 2 windbags in Jimmy and Timmy. They don’t call him Skunk for nothing

I’m with you, but Ratts is very, very keen on run and pace and it is, after all, his head on the line.Vortex wrote: ↑Sun 10 Apr 2022 11:58am Thinking about Hayes being dropped, will we find out our set-up between the midfield and the forward line was the right set-up as demonstrated in our last 1.5 quarters.

Let’s hope that Marshall/Ryder can settle the forward structure when they are not rucking or resting.
Membrey’s a terrific player, but not quite key position. I’m concerned about our lack of physicality and height up forward without either of Marshall/Ryder down there to draw some attention away from King.
All that said, looking forward to seeing *Windbanger join another highly-touted young player in NWM.
I feel we will see Hayes again before too long. Hate seeing guys dropped for “team balance”.
*Another Banger would be handy

Re: Final team. Windhager in Hayes out
Yes but its my head that will implode if he doesn't get me a win today...lol.
It sought of feels like an 8 point game in the context of my belief the Hawks are a bottom 4 side even though they started the season with 3 wins.
