Re: Dare Sainter of the round
He is a CHB. Battle, that is.Don't know why we have been f****** him about.
"The No. 26 finished the game with 21 disposals, 13 marks and 387 meters gained in a best-on-ground performance as the Saints took home a 10-point victory out in the west, the first win for the club in the state since 2017.
Of Battle's 13 marks for the afternoon, three were contested and seven were intercepts, with three of latter coming in the last quarter as the Dockers bombarded the St Kilda defensive-50 over and over in a desperate search for a goal.
After holding multiple positional roles during his six seasons as a Saint, the nomadic 23-year-old now looks to have found a home down in defence alongside Callum Wilkie and Jimmy Webster."

Re: Dare Sainter of the round
I hope he finds consistency. So far, one shocker, one ripper. Will rid us of a headache if he can nail down a defensive post.

Re: Dare Sainter of the round
Hard as a cats head is Battle, hope he can find the consistency as he can play.
Undoubtedly his best game for the club.
What is going on with Highmore?
Is he the new Dunstan? Did he have a shocking pre-season?
How is he now the 6th rated Tall, Medium/ Tall defender at the club based on R2 selection?
1. Howard
2. Wilkie
3. Battle
4. Joyce
5. Leinert
6. Highmore
Perhaps even Allison or Hayes could be preferred to Highmore?
At the start of the year I had him ahead of Battle as the third tall(ish) defender.

Still only 40 games. And has been moved around all over the place. Patience. Agree he’s hard as a cat’s head. Him and Hayes cut from the same teak. Pick them both every week.

Re: Dare Sainter of the round
I've always admired him, as everyone else does.
His body language always suggests that he has a heart as big as Jason Blake and Geary.
Stepped up on Sunday like a superhero, when he was needed.
Last year he was troubled by a foot issue.
Was it plantar fascis?
Can't remember.
He did work his ring off but with that injury you really can't do repeated hard running

A real Sainter will pledge allegiance to the ❤ and despise the Pies, the Blues, and the Injectors.
