Unfortunately I'm not in a position to get to games at present so rely on Foxtel and other mediums for my footy information. Out of all the Match Reports, the best, the most raw, the unashamedly biased and at times hilarious report is our very own Saintsational Match Day Thread.
It's a cracker. It's pure gold as the game unfolds. It is also entertaining going though the pages as you watch a replay of the match.
Yesterdays was one of the best, from the first 5 pages when things weren't flash through the 3rd quarter and to the end.
Comments as simple such as "Bloody umpires" captured emotions. Then the on the on the go judgements of players and their selection merits were pure poetry.
Honestly, no match report beats our own game day thread for entertainment. Thankfully we've another 20 plus finals to look forward to reading and participating in.

Re: Best Match Report to read
“Less a game and more a competition to see who could let down their fans the most.
St Kilda started strongly in this regard, relying on their strong suit, missing easy shots at goal.
They finished the first half 2.7 as Saints fans threw things at their TV.
But Fremantle aren’t slouches when it comes to decimating their supporters’ morale.
And it was the third quarter where the Dockers produced a masterclass, with a display of disposal so poor, it had to be seen to be believed.
It was the creativity of their turnovers that I really admired.
The Saints, despite their strong effort in the first half, suddenly lost the ability to miss goals, with Max King and Jack Higgins both kicking three in the third quarter.
It led to a fourth-quarter where both teams tried to lose, but found it difficult, Fremantle however, able to disappoint their fans in person, found another gear, neutral.”
The Monday Knee Jerk Reaction: AFL Round Two
Footy is a passion, not some cold hearted, spread sheet dominated rational exercise. On a Monday, you want irrational reaction. You want emotion to trump.

Re: Best Match Report to read
Entertaining is one of the right words to describe the thread, disgusting, outrageous and just plain nonsense would be others.Ghost Like wrote: ↑Mon 28 Mar 2022 10:05pm Unfortunately I'm not in a position to get to games at present so rely on Foxtel and other mediums for my footy information. I don't read the thread during the match and the filth one I didn't read at all.
I would think some posters would be extremely embarrassed if they were to re read the Freo thread after the final siren.
