Sometimes you just need the win

It wasn’t always pretty but we got a win on the road (few and far between)

Maybe just maybe that can kickstart our season, obviously it mightn’t but lets hope so.

I have watched many games so far and the season looks wide open, with what we know

Esssendon (injuries and little depth) ditto Port Adelaide are in trouble (both who were expected to go top 8)

Bulldogs are like Essendon and Port but who knows, they play Sydney this week and a zero 3 start would really dent their prospects

Can Pies and Hawks sustain their form?

So what I’m saying (with a fair degree of rose coloured glass wearing) is as Ratts said earlier “why not us”

This season will be derailed by these ridiculous Covid protocols and moreso than in 20 & 21 because atleast the teams were in hubs and could take field with mostly AFL grade players.

And so sure, why not us but the way things are going we could be playing North Melbourne in the grand final.

With our injuries, wins are essentially gold atm

Not too much emphasis should be placed on execution, game plan etc when a 1/3 + of the team is out.

Just need to bank the points for now

Excellent OP. Was thinking after the game that for better sides, sides who play finals, winning becomes a habit. They don't care how it happens, as long as they get the W. They will strive to improve but won't denigrate a win.

I don't care how we win as long as it becomes habit and we improve with each one.
