Injury report and changes
Shock horror Hannebery is sill being managed .
Ryder comes back via VFL which is a sensible process.
No one therefore off the injury list available for Senior selection then what changes do you make from Friday night?

So Hannebery not playing VFL this week? Ratten said in his presser that he would. Put a fork in him.

Re: Injury report and changes
I wonder if Hayes playing the game he did gave the selectors breathing space with regards to Paddy. If Hayes keeps playing the same way then I'd be keeping Paddy at Sandy and only break glass in emergency.

I don't think they want Paddy to do a long plane trip to Perth. Will probably play half a game with Sandy and play Seniors the following week.

Re: Injury report and changes
By the time we part company with Hannebury he will have trousered three million dollars (hopefully paid in part by the Swans) and soaked up tens of thousands in medical expenses, not to mention a spot on the list, in exchange for a handful of games and some IP on another side's game plan.

What sort of example does it set the coach running around with that gut on him?

Re: Injury report and changes
Just hope Brett has the guts to make changes involving "established" players. Have to back up the talk with the walk.
And we are not into making personal
body based comments are we ?
MAFS thread elsewhere, yes?
Brett looks a lot like the guys I play golf with and I love them. Won't hear a word against them. Unless I am the one sledging.

Re: Injury report and changes
I'm hoping Sharman and Highmore come in and I would be dropping Kent and Owens. I know it's harsh on the kid but the selectors should never have picked him for round 1. If they had any brains they would have given him at least half the year in the reserves first to build some confidence.older saint wrote: ↑Tue 22 Mar 2022 5:07pm Shock horror Hannebery is sill being managed .

St Kilda should never trade with Essendon and Sydney ever again!!!

We've got a few spoons lying around.

If the team plays more of this utterly shyte football for much longer, the knives will come out and that will complete the set.Jacks Back wrote: ↑Tue 22 Mar 2022 9:42pmWe've got a few spoons lying around.

Re: Injury report and changes
Would hope that Highmore comes in this week. If we can't stop opposition scores by winning clearance and stoppages, then have to generate something through intercepts.
Would've been great to have Ryder back this week, as I reckon we could've stretched Freo's back six for height. But I understand the cautiousness with Paddy.
Huge game this weekend. Really hard to do anything with your season when you're 0-2.

Don't disagree re the kid but I suppose we haven't seen the track work etc.SunnyErnie wrote: ↑Tue 22 Mar 2022 9:32pmI'm hoping Sharman and Highmore come in and I would be dropping Kent and Owens. I actually think there is a case as some in the media have mentioned to make an early statement and drop guys who aren't playing selfless football. Too many guys getting in front of the ball and waiting for others. Form also must be considered - granted i have not seen any VFL or training so going off the same stuff we are reading online
Out: Kent, Owens, Higgins,
In: Highmore, Wanganeen-Milera, Sharman
Hill and Sinclair move to the Wings
B: Paton, Howard, Wilkie
HB: Webster, Battle, Highmore
C: Hill, Crouch, Sinclair
HF: Butler, Membrey, McKenzie(def forward)
F: Gresham, King, Hayes
Foll: Marshall, Steele, Byrnes
Int: Ross, Wanganeen, Wood, Sharman
Centre Square always has 1 of Brynes, Sinclair or Gresham in . Too slow and the same wif we have crouch, Steele and Ross in at the same time.

Re: Injury report and changes
Yeah we are all disappointed losing the first round game, but its a 23 round season and a lot of the more fancied teams also lost eg Western Bulldogs, Port Adelaide, Richmond & Essendon got flogged. Lets not become too over reactionary.
I dont think Ratts weight affects his coaching ability and its interesting that all these puns have come out after a loss? I dont care how he looks if he brings us some sucess.

Ratts is going on about harsh reality checks for players. Maybe the President and board should drag Ratts in for harsh reality check.sendmehomehappy wrote: ↑Tue 22 Mar 2022 9:58pmIf the team plays more of this utterly shyte football for much longer, the knives will come out and that will complete the set.Jacks Back wrote: ↑Tue 22 Mar 2022 9:42pmWe've got a few spoons lying around.
