Putrid.
Lazy unaccountable football. Too many overpaid front runners.
Yet again, Ratten’s love-in hasn’t worked. We are looking at a whole lot of misery if that effort is accepted by the coaching staff. Go Carine Cats under 10s. My grandson’s team play with more passion and for each other this team of over-compensated rabble.

Re: Putrid.
Yep. I posted in another thread that Ratten's love in is grating on me. Where the f*** is our hard edge and hunger. Selection, game plan, execution, intensity - depressingly familiar. After all that pre season optimism, we turn up and look just like last year. They can f*** off

Re: Putrid.
Yep
Maybe they're not but they certainly look like it .
Take King in the 2nd .
Takes a good mark straight in front ,goes back , looks very casual , twirling the ball in his hand . I said to others " he's going to miss this ." Sure enough he does .
A couple of minutes later , he does the same effing thing .
First game of the year you want to see the team look hungry and desperate.
We looked desperate and dateless

Re: Putrid.
It’s hard to contemplate that you can train for 5 months to be that sh1t at your job. It’s actually quite unbelievable.
And yet … the thieves who ran out there tonight are all getting paid Monday regardless. There’s no care, no accountability. They’re a disorganised rabble who are unskilled and I’ll disciplined.
I’d love to see how they played if they were only rewarded against specific KPI’s each week. Guarantee you it’d be different

Re: Putrid.
The challenge is making the same mistakes over and over again.
The selection and disposal concerns have been well documented here in length.
Leadership is the challenge.
We only took the game on for a quarter and a half and to me it looked like Sinclair and Hayes led the way, whilst Membrey, Higgins and Hill tried with hits and misses.
Who do we rely on to breath some fire

Re: Putrid.
The more things change the more they stay the same putrid is harsh but a very insipid performance in the big picture IMO

Re: Putrid.
There's a reason why we have 1 flag and 27 wooden spoons, it may not be putrid but it's got a bad smell about it.
The Saints are under review, will it make any difference to the underachievers ?

Re: Putrid.
There is something really wrong with the intensity.
At the start of each quarter,, as they leave the coaches huddle they look listless and about 10mins in start to wake up and play footy.
Whatever Ratten is saying to them is not working.
