Very interesting that during Covid 19 the smaller AFL clubs performed quite well financially where as the bigger clubs did not.
Geelong cited lost revenue through gate takings from home games .... approx $500K per game.
Certainly proves that it is certainly not an even playing field with the bigger clubs constantly getting blockbuster games to the detriment of the smaller clubs.
It would be very interesting if this was actually an even playing field.
Covid 19 the financial evener.

Re: Covid 19 the financial evener.
Is it case of smaller clubs performing better, or just a case of the bigger clubs performing poorer?
All clubs are experiencing significant losses, but the bigger clubs are experiencing even greater losses due to lost revenue from blockbuster games.
Either way the financial impact of covid probably hasn't even begun to bite yet.
Governments need to use common sense and drop all mandates immediately.

Concept of losses is interesting
Yes your losing income but that doesn’t mean that ur losing more money then your making still.
No doubt a club like Geelong pbly has by playing less games in Geelong in front of a packed crowd… but they have more profits revenue to lose then a club like us that doesn’t have that type of luxury.
Seems to be that maybe some of a bigger clubs are a little nervous about having to roll around in the dirt with the rest of us.
