So he was HFF to compete with Sinclair lonie Gresham Billings Hind even Geary then we recruit Butler and Higgins. Hard for a few of our players to cement a spot .

You and Richo would get along really well. The whole idea is to develop his strengths and utilise them for the benefit of team

Sometimes you just need to accept average. There is a reason for an average. We actually have a few players who have similar average career stats.

Really good consistent players have their game above the shoulders sorted out. Long has skills but lacks a lot of discipline and needs to concentrate on the ball, not the man.

Longy is surprisingly fumbly at a contest and agree, doesn’t get anywhere near enough possessions.
Forward is his best spot but doesn’t hit the score board.
I think he kicked 3 goals 11 behinds last year.
I know Ratten loves him but that’s likely wearing a bit thin.
In the scratch match on Friday, he barely touched it, despite playing with the side stacked with the better players.
Out of contract this year…watch this space!

Agree Mike if he doesnt have a really solid season this year I think he is in trouble. I believe I read that his name was thrown out there in the last trade period? If hes lucky another club might throw him a life line, but I fear this might be his last year at the Saints.

Could well be a make-or-break season for Benny. Hope he can find the type of form he showed in 2020. Would also like to see him start to mature and become more disciplined as a player.

I agree with those on here that post that Long has a lot of potential. And he has shown a bit.
Some of the goals he has kicked mark him as very creative.
Plus I am a big fan of players who are not afraid to let the opposition know he's there.
