Re: 2022 Training?
Hopefully we can start getting some training reports coming through. Be particularly interested to see how the newer kids are tracking?

I'll be getting to training if covid restrictions permit...If so I'll put in a report.

Re: 2022 Training?
From BF -
They trained at Highett today. I saw them by chance on my way to work and stopped to watch.
- 3-5 players not present due to COVID.
- 10-15 players trained separately as they are coming back from recent COVID infections.
- Owens a likely looking type and doesn't lack confidence.
- Physically, Windy looks more AFL ready than Mitchito.
- Allison trained as a defender in all drills. He's aerobically fit AF. Size is coming too.
- Long trained as a forward in drills.
- Gresh (modified group) looks fit and ready to go.
- Jack, the kid from the SANFL, is a huge unit.
- Z Jones is the most vociferous and vivacious of the group.
- Ratts looks like he has trimmed down a touch.

Re: 2022 Training?
Yeah they were interesting comments.....?
They are reporting on the Saints FB page that Hannebrey has pinged another calve. If thats the case the club needs a line put through his name as a player and make him a development coach. The guys body is cooked, delist him and open up another spot for a mid season pick.
The BF poster added another post -
Hayes was training. He's massive.
Hunter, Paton, Connolly, Windy, Crouch, Gresham, Byrnes, Bytell and maybe 4 or 5 others were in the 'modified' group, which also included the covid guys. No one looked particularly limited by injury. No stationary drills or anything like that and they were still doing 360 degree competitive drills and running etc. I think the modification is simply limiting their kms.
My opinion on Allison is not to expect too much this year. He was drafted as a skinny 195cm kid, has endured 1 covid affected season and has played 9 or so games at VFL. The kid will need a bit more time to develop hence the 2 year deal. That said, he looks really fit and appeared to be really engaged for a young fella.

Re: 2022 Training?
If hanners is injured we should open a list spot for mid season then we can invite another player maybe a KPB down now to train I am not comfortable going into the season with 2 open list spots look what happened last year we struggled to field a team at times. It leaves us more exposed during the season if we have to many spots open 1 is ok not 2.
Use our 2 sports now and if hanners is ok I am sure a new sport would open up before mid season draft.

Re: 2022 Training?
It may be BS but he wasnt spotted training yesterday and Joffaboy has posted the following -
"Saw that and while that group is full of Facebook nuffies, the guy who posted that usually doesn't BS or troll on players".

Re: 2022 Training?
Players miss training for all sorts of reasons this time of year.
Could be anything.
On a side note, seems like everybody I know is getting pinged at the moment for being a close contact or visiting an exposure site atm.
