Fox Footy
I don't about you, but I am so tired of that Essendon documentary on Fox Footy that seems to be on every time I switch onto the channel.
Think of me long enough to make a memory.

Re: Fox Footy
Yes I just about spewed when I saw it. Lionizing a Club that is totally despicable and probably the biggest cheating organisation in Australian sport.
Rugby League would have to be the stupidest, most moronic and over rated game of all time.

Re: Fox Footy
I won't be watching that crap, it's still on repeat for the next few days at least.
The Saints are under review, will it make any difference to the underachievers ?

Re: Fox Footy
Don't bother watching Fox Footy during off-season, other than the drafts. For the life of me I can't work out why they don't broadcast at least a weekly hour long session on all the latest happenings in the AFL.
I have written to them a number of times in recent years suggesting such a segment, plus a special feature in the month building up to the start of the season of each of the 18 clubs, including vision of the players who've been drafted, interviews with players and coaches etc as a great way to get viewers back on board.
Maybe if everyone sent an email along these lines to Fox Footy it might get favourable consideration - feedback@foxsports.com

"Any candidate for political office, once chosen for leadership, must have the will to take the wheel of a very powerful car, tasked from time to time to make a fast journey down a narrow, precipitous mountain road – and be highly skilled at driving. Otherwise, he is disqualified from the company of competent leaders."

Ashburton trots the must-watch for me this afternoon, a couple of very smart fillies for me to watch on Sky 1. Bugger the footy, it's NZ Cup week.

Re: Fox Footy
I guess they don't have anyone contracted to do it. I mean, can they out source? Can they do a 'Roar' like model and have outsiders send in pieces? I wonder how the contracts work. Do unions have anything to do with it?Sanctorum wrote: ↑Thu 11 Nov 2021 10:51am Don't bother watching Fox Footy during off-season, other than the drafts. Having a person on their books who is contracted to scour the footy news for a week and present a once weekly segment probably doesn't work for them, but if it were outsourced?
Interested to know how it all works. Does Ralph, Lyon and all of 'em have managers that can influence it? or are they paid as salaried workers? I imagine it is a bit like footy contracts..perhaps even with performance targets based on viewership and sponsorship money?
You're quite brilliant Shane, yeah..terrific!

Fux Sux in the off season
In Springfield, they're eating the dogs. The people that came in, they're eating the cats. They’re eating – they are eating the pets of the people that live there.

Re: Fox Footy
Foxtel has ripped the budget out from their programming - FoxFooty is a part of that. They're trying to get an IPO up and hence, trying to run the business as leanly as possible to make the business look as good as possible.shanegrambeau wrote: ↑Thu 11 Nov 2021 11:46amI guess they don't have anyone contracted to do it. FF used to be good in the off-season as they leveraged the AFL Media reporters who were embedded at each club to submit stories - there was one journo responsible for 2 clubs (Dinny Navaratnam was the AFL Media guy inside St Kilda) but the AFL cut all those ppl at the start of 2020 due to Covid. Neither the AFL nor Foxtel have any inclination at all to create any content for the off-season outside of the National Draft as the remaining coin they have goes into the expanded AFLW.

Re: Fox Footy
Anyone who invests in Foxtel or any IPO for that matter is an imbecile and deserves to lose their money.
Holder of unacceptable views and other thought crimes.
