I think his new role as a tagger, or sort of lock down mid is where he is best suited moving forward. He is most effective when given a role to shut somebody down and as a players he is very good at that. A sort of Cameron Ling role.

Agree. Very thin for backup talls.

That's why we picked up Chip last year.Banger9798 wrote: ↑Sat 30 Oct 2021 10:01pmAgree. Very thin for backup talls.

Unfortunately the way last season panned out shows why you shouldn't panic and bring in guys past their prime based on what might happen.
The same with the ruck situation.
We really needed to keep Logan Austin as it turns out. Allison could maybe play tall in defense if he has to.

Ross will mainly play on a wing, and may play some games as an inside mid as a run with if we go down that path.

We started this season with Howard, Carlisle, Frawley, Joyce and Clavarino. Wilkie, Battle and Highmore are stretched to play tall. Currently we have Howard and Joyce.samuraisaint wrote: ↑Sun 31 Oct 2021 8:49amThat's why we picked up Chip last year.Banger9798 wrote: ↑Sat 30 Oct 2021 10:01pmAgree. Very thin for backup talls.

We need to address this and draft a tall defender (or two) before next season. Blake Schlensog and Sam Skinner look the most likely.

Can't understand the Clavarino delist.
He would be on minimum wages.
Re watched a couple of his games, he was fine, certainly good enough for depth

I wouldn't be surprised if another club rookied Clavarino for depth, especially the Bulldogs.
The Saints are under review, will it make any difference to the underachievers ?
