Robbo is back with his rubbish top 50
Only one saint and he was only ranked no 8
Jack Steele
Club: St Kilda
Position: Midfielder
SuperCoach Average: 126
ROBBO SAYS: He could play a young Superman in the next Hollywood blockbuster, and sometimes when you watch him play you think he’s made of steel. What a terrific young leader he is.
The Numbers say: The only midfielder to rate elite for contested possessions, pressure points and tackles this season.

No 8 is pretty good.
About right for Steele.
King will be top 50 , Clark if he knuckles down to it

Re: Robbo is back with his rubbish top 50
Robbo would be better off rating the top 50 beers. He's much more of an expert at that.

Don't have any respect for anything Robbo say's but I don't think he is too far off the mark in regard to St.Kilda players

Re: Robbo is back with his rubbish top 50
As far as top 50 in the afl goes I’d only have Steele as well
I think that’s fair
Maybe Marshall if he has a big season
King soon
Who else?!?!

I reckon Hanners can return to the list if he has luck avoiding injury.

Hanna's in the top 50 IMO not even a chance of top 100 he might play a few more games this year (well at least I hope) but his best footy is well behind him

Re: Robbo is back with his rubbish top 50
I don't expect Hannebery to make a top 50 list, unless it's a list for most games missed in 4 seasons, he'll be up near the top of that one.
The Saints are under review, will it make any difference to the underachievers ?

Re: Robbo is back with his rubbish top 50
So after the initial rant the OP has gone quiet.
Who else would you have in the top 50 from the Saints? No point slagging off at someone (even if it is only Robby) and not backing it up

Re: Robbo is back with his rubbish top 50
You are dead wrong there. The Fat f***'s top 50 is always just his opinion and one most football followers would have issues with.
My comment that Steele was the only saint was for information purposes only. No other Saint deserves to be in anyone's top 50. IMHFO. And I never claimed otherwise.
Steele was only rated 8th best. I would place him in the top 5.
Rant...Slagging off? Don't think so.
Take your hatred somewhere else as it's wasted on me. Water off a duck's back.

Re: Robbo is back with his rubbish top 50
I'd respectfully nominate Wilkie and Sinclair. I believe media under rate them because they are so no nonsense effective in a disappointing side.
Wilkie takes so many excellent saving marks and makes last ditch spoils. These things are difficult, often under extreme pressure and done regularly in our side which spends a lot of time trying to get its defensive structure in order when the fwds/mids make clangers as they frequently do. Wilkie makes it look like shelling peas at times while just watching my knuckles are white - he is pretty darn good.
Sinclair has improved so much this year and journos just haven't caught up with the improvement. Skill level and positioning are now elite. Certainly the umps don't get it either.

Excellent response. Kind of what I was hoping to get from Saynta. Both are worthy of consideration, I agree. Sinclair went from strength to strength this year and it was bloody marvellous to see. It’s like he took everyone byYorkeys wrote: ↑Wed 20 Oct 2021 10:42am I'd respectfully nominate Wilkie and Sinclair. surprise. Wilkie just quietly goes about his business. I think if we win more games next year the likes of these two will definitely feature

Re: Robbo is back with his rubbish top 50
The word ‘only’ infers you thought there should have been more, just as it infers that Steele should have been ranked higher.
Not sure what you mean by 'hate'?
I dont hate anyone on here. Disagree with plenty, but im not sure any of us can afford to hate fellow Sainters. We're too small in number. Once the ball is bounced each week i love everyone who supports the Saints

Re: Robbo is back with his rubbish top 50
Your inference is wrong as I was only trying to pass on information that supporters might be interested in. There was only one saint in the FF's top 50. A fact, nothing more nothing less. Steele was rated 8th best. I thought that was an under estimation of his rightful rating. My opinion.Moods wrote: ↑Wed 20 Oct 2021 11:35amThe word ‘only’ infers you thought there should have been more, just as it infers that Steele should have been ranked higher.

I thought, and still do, that your use of the words "rant" and "slagging off", were offensive and way off beam, and so I said so. Again my opinion.
