Port Adelaide will not allow Peter Ladhams to be traded for anything less than a first-round selection.
Foxfooty.com.au understands a 2021 round one pick or a future first will satisfy the Power, who are also happy to have Ladhams back for the last year of his contract next season.
Ladhams has a back-ended deal worth roughly $400,000 in 2022, but is aware the club is keen to progress Sam Hayes’ development further after he won Port’s SANFL best and fairest.

Re: Ladhams
Let them carry $400k and get him for nothing next year. Apart from North and apparently Carlton not a lot of cap space floating around as increases in last 2 years haven't happened.Wayne42 wrote: ↑Tue 05 Oct 2021 5:41pm Port Adelaide will not allow Peter Ladhams to be traded for anything less than a first-round selection.

Expecting a rather quiet trade period with a few tactical point trades the highlight

Re: Ladhams
Did Adrian Dodoro just become in charge of Port Adelaide's trade period? A first round draft pick for a second string ruckman? They're living in a fantasy world

Re: Ladhams
They are trying to squeeze as much out of the deal as possible.
They want him out of there.
They don’t want him out for free.
Demand first round.
Settle for second round - or - wait until next season, carry his bloated final year contract, and let him walk out for nothing because he is uncontracted.
It’s better to be posturing at the start of trade week, and coming around to what you can really get later on.
