We beat Richmond at the MCG.

The only players in our team that day who still play for us are:

Billings
Gresh
Lonie
Gears
Seb
Membrey
DMac

Given that one or two names from this team may ask to be traded in the preseason, we could conceivably only go into round 1, 2021, with only five of these players still on our list. This would amount to a full rebuild.
Watching this now, Billings and Gresham really got involved in this match, Membrey had an impact and Seb had a good game, only inaccuracy in front of goal stopping it from being a great one.
Lonie and DMac's game certainly displays evidence of promise too.

But a bit like like watching us play Geelong in 2019, where they had several players from 10 years ago still playing, Richmond still have close to every player in their team that day still playing.

I wasn’t around in those days, but I assume people on the forum here would have been quite excited about prospects for 2017? I think we still had half a season of optimism in the tank back then.
