First round pick at 14 to Sydney now delisted after 3 seasons. I don’t understand according to those in here Sydney’s development can anyone into a star.

Guess it shows that there’s no certainties at the draft. Sydney will just have to rely on the AFL gifts to remain competitive and relevant.

Apparently our development is appalling while Sydney can turn any player to a star. Seems that’s not the case.

He’s very boring and full of cliches and generalisations. The fool was also on the All Australian selection committee. I bet Ling doesn’t even watch all the matches each week (probably very few on the committee would). They should have to watch a minimum of 8-10 games from each club each year.

If you read the media regarding Ling he had ongoing injury issues and his body kept letting him down. Sydney have a history of pulling the trigger on players where their body is stuffed eg Hannebrey. I think this kid needs to get his body right and go back 2 steps to play state league footy and he might get another chance.
