Don’t get the
He was a gun player, so good get?!
Might be a s*** coach?! Who knows?!
Hamill was a good player, Robert Harvey a champion… means little in the coaching world.
Clarko was a seconds footballer
The footy analyst I rate as one of the best - Daisy Pearce

Re: Corey Enright
Justin Leppitsch has been promoting Daisy Pearce big time recently, he thinks she has a big future post her playing career.
Will be interesting to see what opportunities come her way.

The Saints are under review, will it make any difference to the underachievers ?

From a fan perspective it seems like a very good appointment. Not too far removed form the game and he's coming from a high performing club. Was a very smart and effective player who appears who have good character. He may have been the only member of the Geelong flag era that I didn't hate.

Re: Corey Enright
Who wants to put money on her becoming the first female coach....at St Kilda? It will happen after we officially go into our next deep rebuild and the club is renamed the Tas Kilda Kangaroos and our home ground is in Hobart and our captain is a 35 year old player named Dean Kent.

Seems like a good plan to continue to bring in people from successful clubs.mad saint guy wrote: ↑Sat 18 Sep 2021 12:40am From a fan perspective it seems like a very good appointment. We've cherry picked Hawthorn coaching and admin and now someone from Geelong. Two most successful clubs of the past decade. People from a winning culture and well run, solid clubs.
Pleasing.

Re: Corey Enright
Agreed. Loved him as player and he didn't s*** me like the rest of them. Didn't have the arrogance about him. Just got the job done. Would have loved him at the Saints. Guess now we do!!mad saint guy wrote: ↑Sat 18 Sep 2021 12:40am From a fan perspective it seems like a very good appointment. Also as others have stated about Daisy Peirce. I'd take her in a heartbeat. Great footy brain and understand the game better than most.

Scarlo v Harvey
Scarlo v Harvey
IN the below extract from Matthew Scarlett's upcoming autobiography Hold The Line, the former Geelong champ gives his account of the day he and St Kilda legend Robert Harvey crossed paths.
Jimmy Bartel owned the first quarter of the qualifying final against St Kilda.
The reigning Brownlow Medallist had 12 possessions in the term, and it was only wasteful kicking that meant our lead was three goals.
As we got together at the break, word got around about some mouthing off by St Kilda veteran Robert Harvey. Sledging was a part of the game, and I was very much a player who'd used it throughout my career to try to get an advantage over an opponent.
Harvey had tried to get in Jimmy's head about his estranged father.
After Jimmy had won the Brownlow the previous year, the Herald Sun had run a story with his father, whom he'd had nothing to do with for years. It had shaken Jimmy up, and such a private family matter shouldn't have been made public.
Harvey had just put a target on his head.
When play resumed, I went out of my way to get in his face.
"You're just a selfish old c..t," I kept telling him. "You're never going to win a flag. Your career has been a total waste."
Harvey bit straight away, and I knew he didn't like it, but I was relentless.
I'd always enjoyed sledging.
As a young player, I found it got me involved in the game, got me fired up, and I thought I played my best footy when I was doing it, so I kept it as a tactic.
You soon figured out who it worked against and who it didn't. I used to do it more, but Brendan McCartney pulled me back a bit and said I didn't want to be remembered just for that."
Mind you that just that prick's version and I don't believe him.

Re: Corey Enright
Complete deadshit and as ugly as a hat full of monkeys' arseholes.
Why the f*** would he include such nasty incidents in his book. Does him no credit either.
Maybe because he was behind the door when they were handing out looks made him a bit twisted.

To suggest nasty personal comments of disrespect to peers in the workplace are a virtue can only come from an immature sick mind. The guy needs professional help. Wanker.

errr ….IP theft doesn’t solely revolve around game plan…
Development? Conditioning? Player welfare…..list goes on….
Oh and Geelong have probably been just a tad more successful than Saints

Re: Corey Enright
Have they had a system that allowed those players to thrive???
This is fun....let’s just ask questions with no answers ....
Have Geelong just been lucky?
Has their club really been well run?
What is a coach really ?
How much influence does a coach have....couldn’t a really talented list of players just coach and organise themselves?
Where do babies come from...?
On it goes.

Doesn’t matter what is said (within limits) during the game but if Scarlett calls it being ‘relentless’ with his sledging even when that final siren went, he’ll always be a an obnoxious and arrogant prick afaic
