Re: Cerra
Went after Draper with a fairly large 4 year contract last year so we were certainly going to fit him in the cap so I would assume we have room!

Re: Cerra
No last year,as I remember thinking he’s a bit injury prone, but he has certainly blossomed so one would assume we have cap space ,Dunstan would have been on a bit & the other blokes we have moved on minimal but it suggests to me we have a little bit of cash up our sleeve unless we are going to save it up for BING!

Essendon and St Kilda lock horns over untried ruckman Sam Draper.
Ruckman Sam Draper is yet to play an AFL game, but that hasn't stopped Essendon and St Kilda from engaging in a bidding war for his services.
This comes after the Saints offered Draper a $1.8 million deal over four years, reported earlier this week.
St Kilda are looking at Draper to fill a No.1 ruck position, with youngster Rowan Marshall currently holding the mantle at the Saints.
However, many expect him to be better suited as a No.2 ruckman/forward role.
If Draper decides to move to the Saints, reports suggest the Bombers could ask for a second-round pick.
However, St Kilda may not want to part with a high pick for Draper, given he is untested at an AFL level.
Draper was pushing for senior selection last month, before he suffered an ACL injury during a VFL match against Geelong.
Essendon coach John Worsfold at the time said the injury was a disappointing one.
“It’s disappointing for Sam, because his development has been outstanding and we were really pleased with how he has been going," Worsfold said.

The Saints are under review, will it make any difference to the underachievers ?

Re: Cerra
The notion that anyone on here has any idea what these players are being payed and then making assertions about what they should or could be payed is amusing to say the least.B.M wrote: ↑Thu 09 Sep 2021 12:05pm Hill 900
Hannebery 800 - looking at a reduced contract
Billings 700 - looking at a reduced contract
Crouch 600
Ross 600 - looking at a reduced contract
Then there’s Marshall, Jones, Howard, Gresham, Membrey, King, Higgins, Clark, Wilkie, Sinclair
They have a fair few to pay well!
They should spread Hannebery over two seasons 400K

Re: Cerra
Is there a threat Mart won't keep Mart'n on?
. I wouldn't think so, nor would I want that.
Just amused about how journos say what we'd like to believe, when it's suits us, and we totally discredit them when it doesn't. The facts don't matter.

Re: Cerra
I could go a Cerra....but would rather the best of the best of best at pick #9.
Then play him until both his balls drop and he hits game 50 quick smart.
This is my ultimate player development roadmap ( likely to be scooped by the greats)

Re: Cerra
I agree, I don’t think any of us, including journalists have a clue about player salaries.
I just posted what was reported for each player
It’s possibly correct, probably not?!

Re: Cerra
Clearly has questionable decision making for a mid. Chooses Carlton and leaves Covid free WA to come to Melbourne.
