Yes good times and done good posters back then some no longer with us sadly
This still put red flags up for me....scary control he had..
Mangas: Why do you handle contracts?
Grant Thomas: I head up the Football Department, and I am in a good position to evaluate and negotiate.

GT’s autocratic style aside, surely the golden time is now…
Ever since I joined the forum, I believe the tenor and quality of posts have lifted.
Ha…
TBH, I’m not that stupid to recognize that the times have changed, and Big Footy is probably where the majority of under 120 year olds go, if they are inclined to join a ‘traditional forum’. And I guess, that hundreds of great posters have been fed up and quit over the last twenty years…
I wonder if the ‘tenor of the times’ in respect to language in particular, has put people off. What has been the most disparaging thing?
You're quite brilliant Shane, yeah..terrific!

I remember the old fan forum. It got pretty rabid on there at times.
Rugby League would have to be the stupidest, most moronic and over rated game of all time.

I can’t remember to tell you the honest truth. I only have used HF on here. A bit like trying to remember the plethora of passwords and pins we all have these days.saynta wrote: ↑Sat 28 Aug 2021 7:49pmInteresting. It might have been The Shadow or The Tank but I’m really struggling to remember. I do remember the war on Patrick Smith.

I remember meeting the Shadow when I was a kid, and the Doc. Great memories.

I sent a fax once to Patrick after he complained that banger had won a brownlow and that his boy Wayne wanker Carey hadn't.happy feet wrote: ↑Sat 28 Aug 2021 10:45pmI can’t remember to tell you the honest truth. I pointed out that the brownlow was for fairest and best, which Carey wasn't.
The prick chased down my phone number and rang
me complaining.

I remember a couple of dudes, Jeffers and Teffers forever posting nothing memorable.
The Saints are under review, will it make any difference to the underachievers ?

Yes he was a pathetic sort of bloke. I remember when he read what was written about him on the FF he went to the club and tried to shut it down, I think any post that contained the phrase Patrick Smith was disallowed but it was gotten around by using something similar. I think someone came up with Fatpryck Smyth. And it sruck too.
