....Carlise, Geary. Never mentioned once during the Fox commentary. We are just inconsistent.

Re: Missing today
Yep we’ve been playing with basically 25% of our best side missing . That’s on the best periods of injury.

Re: Missing today
Yep, injuries can’t be dismissed as a major factor in us falling short this season.
On the plus side, it’s allowed players such as Webster and DMac - who mightn’t have been considered best 22 at season’s start - to show their worth. And also given us a look at a lot of kids - Sharman over the past few matches for instance - who might have struggled to get a look in with us at full strength.
So that’s the sliver lining. It gives us a good launching pad for next season when hopefully the injury gods look kindly on us.

Re: Missing today
I don't think Battle is that good. He wasn't missed.
In Springfield, they're eating the dogs. The people that came in, they're eating the cats. They’re eating – they are eating the pets of the people that live there.

Re: Missing today
Battle would be best 22 if fit
Rightly or wrongly
I think we were without 8 of best 22
That’s about 35%

Re: Missing today
Is Sharman best 22? Webster? Coffield? Bytel? Kent?
They were all pretty handy today.
You can’t have 30 players “best 22”

Re: Missing today
You won't hear a good coach using the phrase best 22 (maybe Rossy is the exception with his philosophy of no young blokes in big games until they've served their apprenticeship)
30 required in most seasons, even for the top sides. You need a squad to win you enough games to qualify.
It's important to manage some of your most important players (like Sydney have done with Lance or GWS with Mummy)
Those who are in cherry ripe form in September aren't always first choice selections

Re: Missing today
Webster is definitely top 22. Top 10 even at the moment. Coff and Cooper are boardlerline,
