Another addition to the endless 'what if' pile of St. Kilda players.
Wish that pile was a bit smaller.

Isn't this the 100th time the point has been made?kosifantutti wrote: ↑Thu 19 Aug 2021 5:32pmPick 6 Aaron Francis. It may have been pick 5 bumped down to pick 6 but it was Francis not Parish they took with the pick from us.SaintDippa wrote: ↑Thu 19 Aug 2021 8:59am Great hands, one grabber. Did was he was traded to provide. Last games couldn't kick. Back shot. Worms ducked. Gave up pick 5 to get him (Darcy Parish). Not going there on what if.
And we got Gresham...I still think it was a decent deal, especially given it was with that dog Dildoro

Re: Carlisle not offered new contract
I was not his biggest fan either B.M. and believe, once again, we were royally bent over by Essendon. Why anyone would have done any trades with that club during that period is beyond me.
However, an unexpected loss or beating should not define a player or their career. It kind of sounds like you've won everything you expected to win if that's your rule of thumb in defining a career.

Re: Carlisle not offered new contract
Actually
I think Jake was a talented player - clearly a good mark
I don’t think he fully lived up to his talent with us, partly attitude and mainly injury.
As a defender, he was better offensively than defensive. Preferred to zone off and play his game.
Tidy kick, but had a habit of kicking only 20m.
150 games as a decent player is nothing to be sneezed at, but doesn’t do justice to his ability.
