Mabior Chol
The need to replace Paddy should have us looking at Chol
Rowan to move to the #1 spot
The athletic Chol as back up
Should have a real dip at Quinton Narkle as well!!!

Re: Mabior Chol
Chol has been on my radar too. Unrestricted free agent. Limited opportunities at the Tigers. Developing nicely and still young at 24 now and 25 at start of 2022. Plays forward, back and relief ruck. Can mark the ball. Not a champion but not a dud.
AwayInUSA no longer ... have based myself back in Melbourne for a decade of Saintsational Success (with regular trips back to the USA)

Agree he would be a good acquisition. In addition to the other assets you have listed, he also is a lovely left foot kick.BackFromUSA wrote: ↑Thu 12 Aug 2021 9:08pm Chol has been on my radar too. Re: Mabior Chol
If Richmond don't re-sign Chol then a number of AFL clubs will be making him offers, i don't believe Dimmamond have given Chol enough games to prove himself
as a bona fide AFL player.
as a bona fide AFL player.
The Saints are under review, will it make any difference to the underachievers ?

Re: Mabior Chol
Good suggestions, certainly begins to fill some holes in our list. Both I imagine with points to prove.

Re: Mabior Chol
If we get Chol we are a very, very, very…
VERY good chance to also recruit his little mate Biggy (who had trained at Saints NGA)
Big bonus for us. Two for one. Are they both out of contract?
If Biggy gets the right development he could possibly be St Kilda’s version of Alliir Alliir.

I think Chol has the ability to play fwd/ruck
Therefore is a good partner to Rowan
Who is Ruck Fwd

Re: Mabior Chol
The thing that makes the Ryder/Marshall combo a success is that Paddy is freakishly good at the hitouts and Marshall is freakishly good around the ground.
In the opposite role, both are good without being exceptional.
It works because generally opposition can’t get on top in one portion of the role e.g. in the centre, without us switching it up. Or if they do for example dominate the hitouts, Paddy can cause problems up forward and Marshall can be damaging across the ground
I reckon whoever replaces Paddy needs to be more Natanui style in terms of leap and tap work instead of McEvoy with contested grabs and round ground grunt and endurance
What’s Choi’s tap work like?
