Look at how Geelong went last night with injuries. We're not Robinson Crusoe there.

I guess what I'm trying to say is that I'd rather be at a club competent enough to over come bad luck with injuries and poor decisions by umpires rather than blame our lack of success on factors outside of our control like 'bad luck'. I think winning teams in all sports tend to focus on getting the things right that they can control.

Needs a pay cut of about a million per year.

When I was a young child, I knew that I knew so much about so much.
Now that I am old and know so much more, I know that I know so much about so little, and so little about so much.

Hannebery was referring Sydney's view of St Kilda's decision to recruit him pay him way overs.Waltzing St Kilda wrote: ↑Thu 05 Aug 2021 8:00pm The first thing Hannebery told the Saints players when he arrived was the Swans regard us as a joke.
Well, we beat them last year but they'd be well and truly back to regarding us as a joke now.
And Kent retaining his spot must have them rolling in the aisles.

Dilemma for the selectors? Great team win however Hannebery and Clark available. Paddy too?
Who could you drop. My first thought is Joyce as he is the usual first out (unfashionable?) but Hawkins looms. Mids were ok; might Crouch go. And maybe young Leo. Could the unthinkable happen and Butler be managed? Max's injury might help with one out without causing too much disappointment in the group for a fellow warrior. I would consider Clark as medi sub, drop Butler for Hannebery. Then be stumped.

Ryder in for King with Ryder to ruck and Marshall to play deep forward
Wouldn't be changing Joyce with Hawkins there AND Cameron back too
Thought Butler has been good the past couple of weeks. Logically it would be Hannas for Connolly but, I'd rather get games into Leo. Then again - I can't see how we'd be worse off with Hannas instead of Ross.
As usual - it won't matter whom we have in our backline if our mids don't pressure the Cats mids and stop easy ball flying in

Seb gained the most metres of any saint player last Saturday night and had a hand in many of the goals that were scored. Some of his hand passes were first class. Pity some supports don't watch Seb with both eyes open and judge him after putting their ingrained prejudices aside.Saintmatt wrote: ↑Tue 10 Aug 2021 11:21am Ryder in for King with Ryder to ruck and Marshall to play deep forward
