Even Doggy supporters are taking the p1ss over how good they get it.
They've not been on the wrong side of the ledger since 2015. Only the Bulldogs can get more frees for over in the West, in Sydney, down in Geelong and against Collingwood at the G.
Incorrect disposal is not high on the umpire's agenda.
Yep, they are the umpires’ darlings. Been going on a while, too. Not sure of the actual stats, but I seem to recall a charmed run through the 2016 finals series. It was 22 frees to 10 or similar in their favour in the prelim.
That is quite an advantage in a close game. In fact you can argue it’s a match-winning advantage.
I’m not suggesting that they cheat btw, but that they are human and very capable of subconscious bias.

Its simple. They can throw and drop the ball with gay abandon. Umps ignore it.
Yeah we need to be smarter umpires are not looking for throws / incorrect disposal as much anymore & smart teams have worked this out Geelong & the Bulldogs are the best at it & are reaping the rewards IMO anyway

The amount of "handballs" that go over the head now is just crazy. They all used to be throwing the ball/incorrect disposal in the not so distant past. Even we're doing these now.
As ex-president Peter Summers said:
“If we are going to be a contender, we may as well plan to win the bloody thing.”

Very true, they're ignoring a fundamental rule of correctly disposing of the ball to keep a game moving. Surely that's a red flag with how the game is sitting and being umpired.
If they continue to ignore incorrect disposal we may as well join in because it's a huge advantage to the sides who throw the pill to promote "quick hands" and ball movement.

You can see why tonight.
In the ruck.
And they are all there.
Had twice as many frees as Carlton in the first half and we were getting flogged.
Again goes to show the free kick influence on games is drastically overrated.
15-6 in the second half 7 shots on goal for 6 goals. Frees are very important.
Carlton were all over us tonight and we played dumb footy. The lack of pressure on the man kicking into forward 50 made it easy for their forwards and a lot harder on our defenders.

+1 but what did our coaching staff do to negate it IMO not much
