Who was playing on Wines.

It's telling that only one of our players attracted votes from both coaches.

In a match that was decided with only minutes to go, Hinkley thought that only 1 Saints player had any influence on the game

What a d**khead

Port coach

5 Wines
4 McKenzie
3 Burton
2 Steele
1 Georgiadis

Saints coach

5 Wines
4 Georgiadis
3 Steele
2 Amon
1 Marshall

Coach going in for his players

Bit Pathetic

Steele should have got 8… minimum 6

Exactly. He changed his game and looked like he wanted to play on the outside more. Was caught cheating on several occasions and Wines took advantage.

Was he given a role on Wines, or was he asked to defend less and use his skills to hurt the opposition the other way.

His role was no different to the past month

Accountable for the opposition best mid at stoppage

And taking advantage of the best defenders lack of accountability
All of the best Mids rarely defend.

All of the best mids run both ways. Absolutely they defend.

Bit of both imo. If you watch the game Steele was quite often matched up to Wines, and on occasions Crouch, not always Dunstan. I don't think Dunstan had a run with at all times role.

Dunstan only played on him in parts, when Wines would go forward someone else would pick him up.

I think more likely-

Port coach

5 Wines
4 McKenzie
3 Burton
2 Georgiadis
1 Steele

Saints coach

5 Wines
4 Steele
3 Georgiadis
2 Amon
1 Marshall

Hinkley more likely to have ranked Steele as low as possible because he is too close to Wines in overall voting.

Similar to The Channel 9 Footy Show. No mention or votes to Steele by Cornes. Disgracefully one sided commentary.
Steele's stats were 149 Fantasy points (easily highest of ether side), 37 disposals, 8 marks, 7 tackles, 4 clearances, 1 goal. Was he worried Steele is too close to Wines in the voting for the award? Wines of course received maximum votes.

Terry Smith Rules posted this in another thread:

11 Saints had 20 disposals between them in the 4th

I think that explains a lot about how the coaches voted.
