Don't worry, I've watched it. Watched it live and watching the replay now. I'm nearly at the end of the third

I get what you're saying and we didn't have many contributors in that second quarter but games aren't won and lost in a half

Jones and Steele were better in the first quarter. Seb was better in the first quarter. Billings only touched the footy once or twice in the second.

I'd argue games are lost in 5 minutes. I've watched the 2nd and 3rd again and had to replay several plays in those quarters to make sure my eyes weren't playing tricks on me.

We still lack onfield leadership, aka competitive beast instinct, Lethers picked it the moment he walked in the club and it's still an issue.

We don't have enough players who hate losing and have great game sense and respond when the opposition gets a run-on.

For all of his deficiencies, DMac knows when he needs to take "his turn", he did against the WCE, he did in the past 3 games and he tried it yesterday but got it all wrong and ended his day.

The first was ok but we went into out shells in the second and the only reason we got close was because how crap Port were.

I couldn’t fault our guys for effort. We were in it until the last minute against a top four side in a hard-fought match that could have gone our way with a tiny bit of luck.

Georgiadis was the difference. They had a dangerous forward who could convert. We didn’t. Higgins might have made a difference. Marshall, had he been able to convert a few key chances. He is a good kick and a confident fellow, so no doubt he will win many such games for us over the years.

I’m keeping the faith. We’re are not far off it next season if we can get a bit of early momentum and a good run with injuries. We need a key position defender and a good developing ruckman. And to develop confidence and composure under pressure. Especially in converting opportunity into scoreboard pressure.

I think most of us thought we were still right in the game. We had a chance in the last quarter and only really lost it in the last 2 minutes.

I don't often blame set shot kicking as a reason for losing, but I reckon that was the main reason we didn't get over the line.
Watch the second quarter, I think that's where the game was lost.

Players going missing is still a massive issue.

Dunny's stats looked good on paper but was gifted possessions on the outside and was caught cheating often trying to get forward of the ball rather than defending. He should have had the maturity to keep his eyes on Wines more.

Not saying it was Dunny's fault we lost because we had a lot of players who weren't switched on for parts of the game.

Not putting in 4 quarters is what is costing us games.
Yep they got a sniff here -19 contested ball killed us midfield and rucks outplayed here

And the 4th quarter had its fair share of passengers also, the fact we were playing a depleted side made it look better than it was. Effort was insipid by too many.
