Penalties in AFL
Just for fun.
Penalty shootout to decide the game. 5 players, 40 metres out straight in front.
1. Membrey. To start it off well.
2. Billings. Good under pressure.
3. Steele. Nerves of steel.
4. Sinclair. Has the technique.
5. Ryder. Will nail it.

Re: Penalties in AFL
I'd trust him as one of the penalty kickers.
JB has improved his set shot kicking dramatically in the last three years. The figures below for his goals and behinds tally is for all kicks including snaps

Re: Penalties in AFL
I'd go the captain first
Steele (Leading by example as always)
Billings
Membrey
King (he slotted a few against Brisbane that makes me trust him now)
Hill (the last kicker probably has as much pressure as No. 1)
There was one goal that King kicked when he took that nice mark in the forward pocket where he got a clear jump and Andrews couldn't reach to spoil. Andrews fell on him and Max wasn't happy with the attention. Harris was just trying to put him off and get under his skin, but Maxy was angry. It was in the right hand forward pocket which is not the best side to be kicking it for a right footer.
He didn't bother with an around the corner kick on his non-preferred or a snap or a banana and he went back and slotted a drop punt on a tight angle. I thought YES!! He's arrived

Love this
I absolutely hate draws
Go the result. 5 vs 5, same spot… then progressively work down the list if it remains tied until you get a result

These 5 would nail every penalty kick:
Jack Steele
Mason Wood
Jack Billings
Paddy Ryder
Jimmy Webster

Still sooking B.M. because someone disagreed with you and pointed out why kicking goals when needed is a show of leadership?
Figure out how to use the quote button and find where a poster or I stated he's a poor leader.
That chip keeps getting bigger, the seagulls must love you.

Re: Penalties in AFL
What a joke of a game. Result determined by a penalty shootout. f****** hell, no wonder I dislike that particular sport.
