You used to be able to tell if you'd contributed to a thread - there was a mark or something on the thread subject line. Is there still a way to do that? Sometimes I ask a question and want to check if anyone answered - but I don't remember which thread I asked it in. In truth, I sometimes don't even remember what I asked!

I get a notification on the bell icon every time someone quotes me or comments in a thread I've commented in.

Well I used to get an asterisk - but I don't get that anymore. I'm not sure what the bell icon is. I don't seem to see that either.

The bell icon is at the top right of your page next to your name. Is on mine anyway. It will only have an alert if someone has quoted something you wrote or commented on a thread you started I think.

I'm using the prosilver special edition.
On that there are circles on the left side of the thread titles.
If the circle has horizontal lines though it, it means there are no unread posts.
If there is (what looks like) a flame inside the circle it means there are unread posts.
A little star on the top right of the circle means you have contributed to that thread.
There is also a little red? page icon to the immediate left of the thread title when there are unread posts.
If someone quotes you or thanks you there is a little bell icon to the top right of the screen (but on the left of your name) that will have a number against it.

Do you see any of that?

I'm just logged in to saintsational.net with a regular browser - sometimes chrome, sometimes firefox. Sticky threads have a sort of blue stop sign with a white exclamation mark. Ordinary threads have a chevron/greater than symbol. If the thread's been read it's red on black. If it's unread white on blue, plus a little blue arrow.

No circles, horizontal lines, flames, stars or page icons.

But I DO have the bell icon top right, which I'd never noticed before - and that mostly solves the problem. (Although it's probably salutary to be reminded of all the threads I've contributed to where my comments have been completely ignored!)

It's hard to remember now what the old board was like - but there was a mark, I think an asterisk on the left when you'd contributed, not there for me now.

Click on the bell icon in the top right and then on the 'settings' button in the window that comes up.

You can change it so you get notifications for whatever you like. Maybe the 'bastards' are saying nice things about you but you just weren't being notified.

Looks like you're in the default style (aren't we all ). You can change that. It's just under your name on the top right of the screen. Even in default though there are different colours for threads you've read or haven't and also different colours for the threads you've contributed in.

Lol what an idiot! I've been thinking the board's been redesigned and what a dreadful job they'd done - but actually I've just somehow switched from Naruto Shippuden to default without even realising there were such options! And now I see that in default there is actually a tiny dot - cunningly black on black or blue in blue - to indicate when you've contributed to a thread. Thanks to all who've set me straight!
