Apologies to Wilkie, Crouch and Dougal. Team effort with all players contributing. No passengers last night which is what we want for a winning culture.
Great to see Ratts up in the coaches box. I think the planning for this game and the manoeuvres with team selection were also key. I hope it wasn’t just an accident and hope the match committee use team selection surprises as a tactic going forward

Re: Votes v Tiges
I usually refrain from rating our best players on this forum but, after 24 hours contemplation and plenty of players worthy, here goes:
5 Luke Dunstan. No surprise, his best ever game I reckon. No longer running out of gas in the second half. Importantly, he was absolutely the most dominant player afield.
4 Dougal Howard. Has established himself as the general of our defence and was outstanding in our best defensive performance post Ross Lyon.
3 Paddy Ryder. How many people who questioned his recruitment looked at a fool in the mirror this morning? Hopefully, he can stay fit and enthused for another 2 or 3 years.
2 Jack Sinclair. Another Saintsational perennial whipping boy, exceptional run out of defence, great skills on a slippery night.
1 Jack Steele. Just because.

Re: Votes v Tiges
Our 1 and only All Australian from the last 5 years has set some lofty standards for himself.
I was pleasantly surprised to see Jack Steele get 8 coaches votes.
I think we're starting to judge him more based on his ability to dominate rather than for his pure numbers and effort. I'm struggling in some matches to try and convince myself why others should get votes ahead of him.
Jack didn't stand out as the clear BOG against theTigers (like he's done in many games)..and that's a very good thing if we are going to win as a team, but gee...he was bloody good
