The Josh Bruce Goal
Did I just see Joshy do a Buddy?
On the wrong side for a left footer. On the run, and outside 50 metres. Up against the boundary and he dobbed it
Crickets from the channel 7 commentators
If that was Buddy Franklin, Luke Darcy would have gone apeshitt and Bruce Macavaney would have had a slight leak
Anyway…the Jason Johanneson goal earlier in the match is definitely a contender for Goal of the Year

Re: The Josh Bruce Goal
Great kick. Not really the wrong side if you’re running around the boundary.

Re: The Josh Bruce Goal
How many players on our list would you confidently back to kick that Rohan goal after the siren?

Re: The Josh Bruce Goal
Just as importantly, how many of our players would back themselves to kick the goal. Rohan didn't wince or look the slightest bit concerned, nor was he looking to give it off to anybody, even in a worse position, so that the responsibility wasn't his. In short, he was confident and displayed it. It doesn't always means a result but it's a big start.

Yep. Compare his body language and routine to Higgins’ the other week.perfectionist wrote: ↑Sat 19 Jun 2021 11:22amJust as importantly, how many of our players would back themselves to kick the goal. My thoughts were damn, I wanted both sides to lose so a draw would be a good result.

Re: The Josh Bruce Goal
And did you hear how many times he said the words -going through the process - in the post match interview? At least three times.
There is something very wrong with our forward line coaching at the moment. A key component is missing.

Any danger of the AFL integrity unit heading down to Geelong to assess their TPP
How the hell are they fitting everyone of their stars in the salary cap?

Re: The Josh Bruce Goal
They are paying
Selwood, Dangerfield, Hawkins, Cameron, Duncan, Guthrie, Stewart, Tuohey, Blicvas
And still find room for
Parfitt, Menegola, Higgins, Smith, Rohan, Dalhuis
While Myers and Narkle can’t even make their team?!

Re: The Josh Bruce Goal
I think it’s been well reported that they underpay players who are happy to do this as they come for the success.
As opposed to us getting bent over backwards on multiple deals from players jumping at the opportunity for a pay day.

Re: The Josh Bruce Goal
Ha! Well, shouldn’t laugh….but the good will these guys must endear to themselves when they play for unders might pay big dividends after they retire in a parochial one team town like Geelong. Not taking anything away from Lings business and social acumen..but it must help, the contacts these guys, especially with charisma like Ling, must make.
You're quite brilliant Shane, yeah..terrific!

Instead of practising skills our players are too busy meditating and hugging each other.
I say again, GET RID OF THE HEADSHRINKS -- they've manifestly failed.
