Votes v Crows
What the hell just happened then ? Slow motion train crash over the last half, with an unnerving sense of inevitability about it.
5. Brad Crouch . The only one who played 4 good quarters
3. Jack Steele. Superb early, but faded late.
2. Jack Sinclair . As above.
2. Callum Wilkie . Shut Tex down for most of the night
2. Luke Dunstan . Also went missing in the last , but was strong for much of the game.
1. Brad Hill. In the last quarter, when we were putrid, I thought he was one of the few who showed poise.
The commentators made a lot of Tom Highmore, and there were encouraging signs, but just outside the votes in my view

My votes
Steele
Crouch
Can't give Sincs a vote
1st qtr - 7 kicks, 3 H/b
Rest of game- 8 k, 6 h/b
His last qtr he got one kick+one h/b
No votes if he drops off so badly

Re: Votes v Crows
I haven't watched the last quarter
I saw Sloane get a free late in the 3rd. Steele went to tackle Sloane and got an arm around his shoulder. Technically that is NOT a free.
Sloane threw the head back and the ump fell for it. Sloane slotted the goal from 40-45 out and they were within a goal going into the last with a full head of steam
.....anyhow ...point is... Don't just look at the stats and conclude that they were all legitimate frees against

That was in the last quarter. The umpires rode the Crows home.

Thanks. I was working and couldn't watch the last 20 minutes or so. I forgot and thought it was late in the 3rd.CURLY wrote: ↑Sun 13 Jun 2021 6:52amScollop wrote: ↑Sun 13 Jun 2021 6:29am I haven't watched the last quarter

N.B. Howard was a huge liability down back in my opinion, he should not be allowed to take kick ins and should handball each time after a mark.

Re: Votes v Crows
5. Brad Crouch
4. Jack Steele (NB he should show a lot more leadership on field, doesn't appear to do a lot talking/directing players)
3. Jack Higgins
2. Brad Hill
1. Tom Highmore (apart from sloppy disposal which detracted from his quality intercept marks)

Couldn’t give 5 to anyone... Crouch wasted some possessions when he could have hit up a target. Especially in the last quarter. Steele was a bit selfish with late possessions when the game was on the line. He might have got an extra possession on the stat sheet and it might help him with Brownlow votes, but it didn’t put his team mates in a position to move the footy forward and score.
No votes for forwards.

Haha
Howard votes as a FB
His direct opponent got coaches votes and kicked a 3rd of their score!
Interesting
