It was a wet track let’s not forget.
He’s not good enough. Ross over Dunstan easily.

Re: Dunny watch
I think Dunstan's main issue is his speed of thought to execution.
He is pretty good at finding the right option, but he either can't execute in time or skill.
The Sinclair handball was a standout. He saw the right option, but could not get the ball to him quickly enough.
It's these small moments that hurt him.

Re: Dunny watch
Dunstan is shitloads better than Lonie. What a dick Lonie is for not trying to kick a drop punt on a slight angle. He and Battle should become a comedy team. They have no future as footballers

Dunny’s opponent tonight (who he tagged) had 33 possessions most for Crowsmagnifisaint wrote: ↑Sun 13 Jun 2021 1:53am Dunstan is shitloads better than Lonie. While Dunny had disposal efficiency at 46%.....
I agree Lonie is a spud but the above is why we continue to be a mediocre side

Re: Dunny watch
Dunstan is having a good year and proving to be a more than serviceable back-up even if he is not in our best 22 when Gresh, Zac or DH are available.Vazelos wrote: ↑Sun 13 Jun 2021 1:24amWhat part isn’t true?
Last part is a fact the rest is an opinion.
Let’s revisit this end of year shall we he is out of contract end of year.
Want to put your reputation on him being at St Kilda next year?
A player at his prime and not one conversation about him being recontracted....
Know what that means?
I am happy to put my judgment on the line that he will not be delisted at end of year albeit other teams may trade for him.

Having a good year?
In the VFL maybe… he’s only played 4 games. How’s that a good year?
He played really well against North, alright against Sydney and alright tonight. All three of those sides are average or worse.

Re: Dunny watch
A kick like that, should only be done at training after he's had at least a half-hour of *proper* serious goal practice, after the main session.magnifisaint wrote: ↑Sun 13 Jun 2021 1:53am Dunstan is shitloads better than Lonie. That party trick is done when everyone's packed up ready to go to showers, and he says 'ok guys, 2 more minutes'

Re: Dunny watch
Many have missed the point of the thread - to look at Dunstan objectively as the game goes, not come in the next day after a bad loss and bag him with the same old crap.
Dunstan missed one handball to a guy flying by by a few inches? Many many of his teammates had much more egregious skill errors than that.
What of his kick to King on the lead in the first from behind centre? Was probably the best kick by any of our players on the night, yet it is ignored by the haters.
Did he set the world on fire last night? No.
Did he have a good game? Yes.
Was he in our best half dozen? Yes.

Re: Dunny watch
Dunstan was good last week, and solid last night although Laird got off the chain in the last qtr.
He is someone to persist with so come end of the year we get offers of a 3rd round selection from someone looking for midfield depth or a young team needing a big body mid who can find the ball.

Re: Dunny watch
I'm convinced Dunny's papers were stamped after the Richmond train wreck which was really the game that ended our season also if we are being honest. Having said that about Dunny though it won't surprise me if the club is forced into keeping him as we are really going to have virtually no bargaining chips at the trade table this year which should also be a very shallow pool of talent available also due to the impact COVID is having on AFL finances. I'm not expecting much player movement so players like Dunny could survive simply because the club will be extremely limited for options.

Re: Dunny watch
I wouldn't be releasing a hard tackling inside mid who regularly gets 25+. Another player who has a flawed kicking action that has never been corrected. Another player who wins clearance but simply hack kicks forward because we have no system or movement strategies. Needs to works under a proper coach and dev team before I would stamp his papers.

Re: Dunny watch
Well for all his faults that keep getting hammered here for whatever agendas, he has heart and guts and pride and plays for the jumper.
If we had a couple more with those qualities other than the handful of wimps masquerading a AFL footballers that were pretending to play - and I think we know who they are - we would have won last night. The focus on Luke is so misguided. Check out the rest of the list. We need some hard men.
Some of the play by others last night showed not only are they too weak for AFL they are dumb footballers and not sure which is worse, but its a deadly combination. They get a game because we are scraping the bottom of the barrel.
Looking for soft targets like the coach and Luke is letting the real culprits off lightly. And the medical staff physical trainers need a hard looking at as well.
