Maybe Bucks can be an assistant.

Robert Harvey to be Collingwood's head coach.
I can't bear it.
I need to go back to bed for a lie down.

Buckley’s long-term assistant and friend Robert Harvey will coach out the remainder of the season, Collingwood said.

Banger may not be a good head coach.
Can't get all nostalgic over a former champion, he may not have the coaching ability

Re: Banger Caretaker Coach of Pies
He coaches against the Saints in two more matches in Round 16 at the MCG.
Now I'm really torn about who to barrack for since the Filth are only 2 wins below us and could rise above us on percentage by then, the way we are going and taking our brutal run home into account.
We could end up with a higher first round draft-pick than them, maybe top 3 or 4 and give Banger's coaching career a leg up too!

If the Filth beat the smug Dees, workmanlike Dockers and us they will be a game clear ahead of us.
I like their chances of beating Freo and us atm.

Re: Banger Caretaker Coach of Pies
Unfortunately for Harves the last 2 caretaker coaches that have gone on to be appointed as senior coach haven't done too well.
Shaw at North allegedly couldn't cope with the gig and bolted for the Gold Coast to look after kick to kick sessions whilst Teague is now under review at the brown baggers because his team is putrid.
I think the Shaw and Teague experience has made it harder for caretaker coaches to get promoted to the senior role going forward.

The Saints are under review, will it make any difference to the underachievers ?

even if he does make it through the rest of the year as head coach - I would be surprised if he is part of the next coaching team

Some caretaker coaches went on to success. Roos is one that comes to mind.sunsaint wrote: ↑Wed 09 Jun 2021 7:13pmagreed - just been handed the poison chaliceWayne42 wrote: ↑Wed 09 Jun 2021 5:01pm Unfortunately for Harves the last 2 caretaker coaches that have gone on to be appointed as senior coach haven't done too well.

As a purported ITK, sometimes your calls don't pan out, for whatever reason.
You've been privy to certain discussions that have taken a different tack, etc.
But when it comes to an enemy club, you can't have any inside knowledge. You're just speculating like everyone else.

It’ll be really interesting to see what happens if Collingwood manage to turn things around form this point

?? Tony can post what he likes, I value his posts a bit more than anyone who just comes on here and posts whatever $hit they like.
Therefore I'm interested in what Tony knows about the Collingwood process.
Aren't you inquisitive ?

Totally. But I think we're a bit harsh on him. Every word he posts is scrutinised to death. He'll be running off to hide with Harry and Meghan if we're not careful! The Fireman wrote: ↑Thu 10 Jun 2021 1:06pm??
