Re: Game 50 for Wilkie
Hard to beat one on one, harder to shut down and a versatility that ranges from small defender to marking rebounder to KPD. Could easily play the Membrey role too. A very good footballer

Pick number 3 in the rookie draft 2019 a gift really so glad we have actually lucked out with a draft pick they have been few & far between

Can I add David Grant to it?
Was always a favourite of mine. My mates you to look at me like I was an idiot when I sang his praises.

Re: Game 50 for Wilkie
We drafted Young, Parker & Hind then took Wilkie in the rookie draft. Thank god he was still available, very fine player.bangaulegend wrote: ↑Tue 11 May 2021 8:24pm Pick number 3 in the rookie draft 2019 a gift really so glad we have actually lucked out with a draft pick they have been few & far between
Reads the ball in flight superbly.

I just read this on the wikipedia...I was shocked...
Grant finished second in St Kilda's best and fairest in 1989 to Nicky Winmar and played interstate football with Tasmania. Saints fans were shocked to find out Grant was to be a part of a trade deal that would see him and Jayson Daniels sent to Sydney for Barry Mitchell and a fourth-round pick for the 1993 season. Both Grant and Mitchell refused to swap clubs and Grant stayed a further three years at St Kilda under acrimonious circumstances until he ended his career with Melbourne
You're quite brilliant Shane, yeah..terrific!

Re: Game 50 for Wilkie
Does anyone know what sort of streak he's on?
There can't have been too many players that never missed a game from the moment they were at the club, starting their career.
How do you search for that stat?

Thanks for searching that out CQ.CQ SAINT wrote: ↑Wed 12 May 2021 10:40pmhttps://www.zerohanger.com/which-player ... tory-5859/
Far more extensive than I imagined.
Wilkie's still got a fair way to go before he starts setting records.
I'm surprised too.
Still a great story, and great effort.
