Tonight's A League game called off due to rain
Sydney FC v Melbourne Victory match has been called off due to the weather.
The dam in western Sydney reported to be close to overflowing...
Are there any posters currently in Sydney and planning on going to the game with any info?
EDIT 100.6mm of rain expected to land on Homebush Stadium this weekend!

It is constant rain up here in Sydney at the moment. Noah's ark deluge level, but it is set to ease up tomorrow. I imagine Giant's stadium has good drainage. If game was on tonight, it potentially could have been cancelled. If it eases up tomorrow as it is meant to, i see no reason for game to be cancelled

Oh, I don't think our match will be cancelled at all. Just wanted to know what the view was like - 'on the ground' up there.sainterinsydney wrote: ↑Sat 20 Mar 2021 3:55pm It is constant rain up here in Sydney at the moment. The more I think about the conditions, the more I think that no RoMa, Paddy, Ming, Carlisle, and Dan Hannebury this week might just be an advantage and work in our favour.
EDIT: Thanks for the report too SIS, by the way!

In those conditions Ratts should instruct his players to kick it off the ground paddle it off the water....Joffa Burns wrote: ↑Sat 20 Mar 2021 9:29pmA bit water logged this afternoon but should dry out by tomorrowsamuraisaint wrote: ↑Sat 20 Mar 2021 5:08pmOh, I don't think our match will be cancelled at all. It's still raining in Sydney. Likely to ease off by 2035.

Luckily my rooms at Falls Creek are over 1500 metres above sea level.
With all this rain I should be safe up there for at least 12 months before being drowned.
