Saints Foreign Legion Best 18
We have a pretty handy group of players who first played at another AFL club now.
Yes Robbo may well be about to retire.
Of the players below only P Hunter may not be AF ready and good enough to at lest go ok at AFL level.
There is also a lot of very good talent. And only Hill was not gained at a "discount", or even free, trade price.
Kent Howard Frawley
Robbo Carlisle Jones
Hill Steele Kent
Butler McKernan Membrey
Higgins P Hunter Woods
Ryder Crouch Hannas

Some class and quality in that group. Ryder is the one we need to gave a good year.saintsRrising wrote: ↑Fri 26 Feb 2021 1:00am We have a pretty handy group of players who first played at another AFL club now.

Oops,
Short one player. I will cheat and include Highmore as while not on the GWS list, he was in the GWS Academy.
Highmore Howard Frawley
Robbo Carlisle Jones
Hill Steele Kent
Butler McKernan Membrey
Higgins P Hunter Woods

Though the key point remains, we have done amazingly well at picking up some great talent from other clubs and in the main at discount trade cost (picks and players). Only Hill cost a bit.
Hannas is on larger coin yes, but his trade cost was very cheap.
Achieving this is a key reason why we now have a much better first 22, with capable depth to support it.

It was a good post and you are quite right. I was just taking a small tongue-in-cheek piss-take.saintsRrising wrote: ↑Fri 26 Feb 2021 9:38amminneapolis wrote: ↑Fri 26 Feb 2021 4:19amAlso Kent in the forward pocket?saintsRrising wrote: ↑Fri 26 Feb 2021 1:00am We have a pretty handy group of players who first played at another AFL club now.

Like Highmore at GWS was not actually on another AFL club's list.
