Sledging the Cats
Geelong is one of our bogey teams.
I read an article where Gary Rohan split with wife Ami, who didn't go to the hub.
Rohan is now with one of Geelong's physios.
The new GF caused Tom Hawkins to confront Rohan inside the hub, he was reportedly a bit angry with Rohan.
My question is, can our guys put the Cats off by sledging Rohan and Hawkins?
Or would it be poor form and cause grief for our PC members?
Honest question

Write a letter to the Pres, the Coach or the Captain and ask them. Honest question? Does it matter to you what our PC members think. I honestly don't think so.WellardSaint wrote: ↑Sun 21 Feb 2021 2:19am Geelong is one of our bogey teams.

I hope Ratts has a better plan / tactic to beat the Duelling Banjos than that.

Re: Sledging the Cats
I only ask because of what happened at the Blues game with Carlisle n Marc Murphy.
I don't think the squad will be using Rohan's troubles as a tactic because it would bite us on the bum- Geelong are whingers and would go public, saying Saints have no respect for women, etc

Re: Sledging the Cats
How many PC members do we have? What is the cost of PC membership compared to a standard membership and what benefits do you get with PC membership? I love how our club caters for all.
Honest question.

Perhaps not Wellard, but our boys could refer to him as 'Jimmy' for the match in a not so subtle reminder.WellardSaint wrote: ↑Sun 21 Feb 2021 2:19am Geelong is one of our bogey teams.

Re: Sledging the Cats
I dont know if we could pity or sledge the man. When his child died his wife slumped into a 3 yr depression that has drained the life out of him and their marriage.
Personally I'd hope a man could find a way to stay, I know Cats players have seen her at her worst and maybe hopeful Rohans support could lift her, but each person I guess has limits.
No sex for years, a wife who is always flat, depressed, suicidal....it isnt an excuse just understandable the guy found someone less costly emotionally.
Don't think his teammates were impressed but such is life

Re: Sledging the Cats
So far we have Right wing nut jobs, lefty soft cocks and maybe some PC's in-between that. We still have room for some Morally bankrupts and maybe a few Decent rational human beings and we should get another membership record. Cool as.

I'm still keen to understand this PC membership our club offers. It sounds like you need to have a little understanding, compassion and empathy to be eligible.

It's the same as an Apple Mac membership, but cheaper.

Re: Sledging the Cats
I'd be careful going down that road, every club has these issues pop up from time to time, and we have a few players with shady incidents that are in the public domain...
A much better strategy would be to run them off their feet, kick more goals than them, and just run with the 'too old, too slow'

Interesting take SAINT-LEE, but I question the accuracy and legitimacy of your post.SAINT-LEE wrote: ↑Mon 22 Feb 2021 1:29am I dont know if we could pity or sledge the man. When his child died his wife slumped into a 3 yr depression that has drained the life out of him and their marriage.

They lost a child in 2018, but the young lass gave birth to their 3rd child in 2020.
Immaculate conception or cheating with another man? If the latter it explains the breakdown.
Dare I say it but it is disappointing that when the going got tough Rohan got going.

Re: Sledging the Cats
Our record against them is so poor - inexplicably poor. How do you characterize our loss to them in Round 11? They kicked nearly 100. We managed 30ish (and two goals after quarter time)
We were terrible.
Max King two kicks (both behinds)
Butler and Hill both useless and invisible.
Hind on his way to being dropped.
We were pathetic.
In this great year, with Ratts and all the boys etc.,
It was the end of our 2020 honeymoon for sure.
They have smacked us so badly, don’t mention 2009, I think well have to do something radically new this year.
Richo’s 2016 team were better.
Doesn’t Rohan have red hair? What does that tell you. That is more than enough evidence. He is obviously (x,y and z) No wonder.

Re: Sledging the Cats
Yeah, not my thoughts, she spoke on womens zoom call in early 2020 and said she'd been suicidal and depressed, diagnosed PTSD, post natal depression and couldn't get out bed sometimes for days...but you are right it didnt stop Rohan taking the short sword for a swim.Joffa Burns wrote: ↑Mon 22 Feb 2021 1:11pmInteresting take SAINT-LEE, but I question the accuracy and legitimacy of your post.SAINT-LEE wrote: ↑Mon 22 Feb 2021 1:29am I dont know if we could pity or sledge the man. Re: Sledging the Cats
If we can get the PC members to cross the floor I think we can beat Rohan and the Cats.
