StKFC U26
We really do have a lot of good young talent.
From players who currently are not yet 26 years old I have the following best 22
Paton Howard Wilkie
Coffield Joyce/Clavarino Long
Sinclair Steele Jones
Billings Battle Butler
Higgins King Lonie
Marshall Clark Gresham
INT Dunstan Bytel Byrnes Connolly
EMERG: McKenzie Alabaksis Joyce/Clavarino
Most are already good enough to play at AFL level. Many already look to be best 22 for many years yet. Some like Lonie may fall by the wayside, but are capable players. Some are yet to show that they can play at AFL level. And yes some may never make it, but these are few.
Overall our young talent bodes well for us continuing to get better over the next several years.

Yes, it is the glaring hole.
Young KPP.

Re: StKFC U26
I’ve wondered this myself
Most likely I’m seeing what I want to see but
King brothers together
Both Saints fans
Lacking in long term CHB
War chest
Contract
GC floundering
Feels like it all fits together...
That being said, this conveniently ignores all the contraindications out there to this thing I want

Re: StKFC U26
The Ben King to St. Kilda will happen but not until the 2023 season.
Just a gut feeling, reckon Ben will honour his contract with Gold Coast.
On the plus side, he'll be approaching the peak of his powers...look out!

Re: StKFC U26
I hate to say this to you but Gold Coast are far from floundering. Have a look at their list. Once you have done that familiarise yourself with the concessions they are getting at next weeks National Draft. Not only are they a chance of making the top 8 in 2021, I can honestly see them in the top 4 in 2023 or even as soon as 2022. If we are going to win a flag in the next 5 years I can see the Suns as our main threat. Just our rotten luck yet again conspiring against us. Thanks AFL. I just hope that they lose players every trade period like GWS but I don't think they will this time because nobody will want to leave. And having said all that they are also receiving concessions in 2022 as well. It's a farce.skeptic wrote: ↑Tue 01 Dec 2020 12:56pmI’ve wondered this myself

Re: StKFC U26
Spot on...
GC given too much IMO
AFL did not wait for some of their youngsters to become more consistent...but went with topping them up again.
They will become a very very good side

Re: StKFC U26
It all depends on Rowell.
If he's the next big thing, they'll become a force.
If he stagnates or has repetitive injuries, they'll struggle.
It's like GA Mk II, in the fact a lot rides on the performance of one player.

Re: StKFC U26
Judging by your comment you have not looked at their list and have no idea what concessions they are still getting.

Re: StKFC U26
Wouldn't it be nice if you were able to totally mismanage your football club and your playing list and then the AFL just hands over three years of draft concessions and so-called Academy picks. And this just a handful of years after you'd had the same benifits handed to you on a plate. No doubt after the next slide the same benefits will be bestowed again.
