Matthew Kennedy
He's just been delisted from Carlton, in the intention to rookie. Should we ask the question and offer him a spot on the main list.... would be better than pick 68???

Decent player but pass for me.
Good size, strong hard worker, not really a forward and not really a mid IMO.
Up against Steele, Crouch, Jones, Ross, Dunstan & Bytel as an inside mid and Membrey as a medium forward.
Can't see him being better than back up and I don't think we need to clog the list with back up that will come at a cost.
Agree he's probably better than a late pick.

The question I keep asking myself for experienced players is
“Are they an upgrade on what we already have?”
In his case, I would say no. Dunstan can barely make the best 22, and he would be a clear upgrade on Kennedy. He now has unrealised potential at 2 clubs, 1 of which is struggling and needs big bodies mids, but still don’t want him. That tells me a lot.

Carltoon have tried him everywhere and he can't get a spot. Last stop was as a defensive forward - still no good. Cripps needs a big body around him for protection and MK is still no use. Also has the turning circle of the Queen Mary.

For backup Dunstan is way better than Kennedy.
