Careful of the karma bus. We are hoping for the exact oposite so lets be a little bit reasonable.Joffa Burns wrote: ↑Sat 31 Oct 2020 3:39pm https://www.sen.com.au/news/2020/10/31/ ... ncy-offer/

Excellent. F*** Geelong. Actually f*** currently top 4 sides who have had recent flag success being cozy landing pads for top end talent at zero cost apart from salary.

Re: Giants to match Cats Cameron offer
GWS know how to play this game. All of the Top 10 and first round draft picks they got early has seen them amass an array of talent, that when and if they do get poached, ensures that they get at least one and sometimes two first round draft picks back, and thereby the cycle continues.
They'll get two of the best young players in the country through the draft, plus the one they will pick with their own number 9 pick, consolidating their talent and compromising the draft for the rest of us once again, into perpetuity.
Oh, well, like they say, don't hate the player, hate the game.

As long as we win a premiership before GWS I don't care how many FRDP's they get. The fact that they have matched Geelong's offer has made my weekend.samuraisaint wrote: ↑Sat 31 Oct 2020 4:40pm GWS know how to play this game. MATCHED
Geelong has picks 13, 15, 20, 37, 90.
Points = 1212, 1112, 912, 483, 0
Picks 13, 15 & 37 add to 2807 points.
That's between pick 1 and pick 2.

Great scenario either Geelong have to trade to get him , or he stays and we swoop and grab Toranto or Kelly as they will be over the Cap if they have to pay Cameron the contract.

IMHO, both GWS and Geelong know he is going to end up at Geelong. They're just posturing about the Trade cost.older saint wrote: ↑Mon 02 Nov 2020 12:05pm Great scenario either Geelong have to trade to get him , or he stays and we swoop and grab Toranto or Kelly as they will be over the Cap if they have to pay Cameron the contract.

GWS have already announced that Jesse Hogan has nominated he wants to go to them, so they already ahve a replacement for Cameron in him.

Re: Giants to match Cats Cameron offer
agree, him staying is never going to happen but great to see Geelong cough up picks and also have the detail of Cameron deal hit the media and see what happens when Duncan, Guthrie , Parfett and Clark want extensions or leave and have them get olderMr Magic wrote: ↑Mon 02 Nov 2020 1:08pmIMHO, both GWS and Geelong know he is going to end up at Geelong. The AFL has decided Crouch is not even worth an END of first rounder, he is a second rounder.saintly wrote: ↑Mon 02 Nov 2020 1:44pmBut crouch is not worth a first rounder, never mind 800kImpatient Sainter wrote: ↑Sat 31 Oct 2020 3:55pmCareful of the karma bus. CATS SURPRISED BY THE GIANTS' DECISION
Geelong reportedly thought it could snare Coleman medallist Jeremy Cameron without having to give anything up after offering the left-footer a five-year deal worth around $900,000 per season.

What did they pay for Dangerfield?
Surely Cameron is worth similar?
